Mickey is reportedly nearly USD 60,000 behind in rent for his Los Angeles residence. Court filings indicate he was served with a three-day "pay or quit" notice on December 18, 2025, demanding approximately USD 59,100. He began leasing the three-bedroom bungalow in March 2025 at an initial rate of USD 5,200 per month, which later increased to USD 7,000. A source close to the actor stated that he is currently living "paycheck-to-paycheck" as the movies he has been doing "don't pay that much." The insider told Daily Mail:

"When it comes to his [Mickey Rourke's] finances, the movies he has been doing don't pay that much for the life he is used to, it's almost a paycheck-to-paycheck type deal, where if he was more protective of his finances, he'd be OK. He's rich poor if that makes sense."

Besides his low-paying movie roles, Mickey Rourke's financial troubles were compounded by his removal from Celebrity Big Brother UK in April 2025 for using unacceptable language.
