Actor and boxer, Mickey Rourke appeared nearly unrecognizable in recent photos from January 2026, sporting a bald head and a gaunt, frail appearance while picking up food deliveries at his Los Angeles home. The actor, once a star for roles in Iron Man 2, The Wrestler, Immortals, and Sin City, has lost his glamour and is now under threat of being evicted from his home. The actor is reportedly facing severe financial and housing difficulties, as recent court filings and reports highlight.
Mickey Rourke's dramatic physical change is the result of a long history of severe facial injuries from boxing, followed by multiple reconstructive surgeries and more. After becoming a Hollywood heartthrob in the 1980s, Mickey Rourke returned to professional boxing in the early 1990s. During then, he suffered facial Injuries, including sustaining two broken noses, a smashed cheekbone, a split tongue, and a compressed cheekbone. Mickey has admitted to undergoing five operations on his nose alone. He stated that much of his surgery was to "mend the mess" of his face, but he "went to the wrong guy" to put it back together.

Beyond medical necessity, Mickey Rourke has continued to use both surgical and non-surgical treatments to maintain his appearance. He has reportedly had multiple facelifts, cheek implants, and eyelid surgery to address sagging skin and volume loss. In recent years (2020 to 2022), Mickey has also allegedly used Botox and fillers on his lips, cheeks, and forehead to maintain a youthful look. Micky also indulged in alcoholism and dr*g abuse, which contributed to his drastic change in appearance, according to an insider's statement to Daily Mail. The source shared:
"Mickey has lived the life of a rock star with plenty of dr*g and alcohol abuse over the years. So, to see him worse for wear in recent pictures without the benefit of Hollywood movie magic, we shouldn't be surprised that he looks nothing like he used to."

In January 2026, new public sightings of the 73-year-old actor sparked further shock as he appeared dramatically different, even from his previous look. In the viral pictures, Mickey Rourke can be seen having ditched his signature long, brunette locks for a shaven head, appearing nearly bald. Onlookers noted that the actor looked considerably more frail than his former rock-and-roll persona. Fans expressed shock after comparing Mickey's before-and-after photos, which they shared on social media. Those sightings occurred amid reports that Mickey is facing a potential eviction from his Los Angeles home.

Mickey Rourke is currently facing potential homelessness due to a legal eviction process initiated by his landlord. Mickey is reportedly nearly USD 60,000 behind in rent for his Los Angeles residence. Court filings indicate he was served with a three-day "pay or quit" notice on December 18, 2025, demanding approximately USD 59,100. He began leasing the three-bedroom bungalow in March 2025 at an initial rate of USD 5,200 per month, which later increased to USD 7,000. A source close to the actor stated that he is currently living "paycheck-to-paycheck" as the movies he has been doing "don't pay that much." The insider told Daily Mail:

"When it comes to his [Mickey Rourke's] finances, the movies he has been doing don't pay that much for the life he is used to, it's almost a paycheck-to-paycheck type deal, where if he was more protective of his finances, he'd be OK. He's rich poor if that makes sense."
Besides his low-paying movie roles, Mickey Rourke's financial troubles were compounded by his removal from Celebrity Big Brother UK in April 2025 for using unacceptable language. His representatives claimed he was subsequently denied his paycheck for the show, and they intended to challenge the denial legally. Mickey's L.A. home's landlord, Eric Goldie, is seeking full payment of arrears, attorney fees, and termination of the rental agreement, which could result in the actor's removal from the home even if he pays the debt. A case management hearing is currently scheduled for April 6, 2026.
