Shweta Tripathi rose to fame by playing the role of 'Gajgamini Gupta' aka 'Golu' in Mirzapur. Her role has won praise for her frank portrayal of women, and many of her scenes have often become an important subject of discussion online. On the personal front, Shweta married her longtime boyfriend actor-rapper, Chaitanya Sharma, in 2018.
Many people don't know that Shweta is 5-year-older than her husband. The 39-year-old actress revealed that no one in their family ever worried about it. Moreover, many of their friends and relatives thought she was much younger than him. But no one ever judged them for it. WION quoted her as saying:
"He is the younger one but I always feel that I am the younger one. Once when his dad's friend was watching TV, one of my ads played when his father said 'Do you know this is Cheeta's girlfriend?' And that friend went like, 'Isn't she too young for him?' Everybody forgets I'm older. They never bothered. You don't fall in love with things like height or age. He is 6 ft tall and I am 5 ft."

Shweta shared that her husband and in-laws have been supportive of her career. After marriage, she has been more busy. At the same time, they are excited about her work and always gives an honest review for it.
Shweta and Chaitanya, aka SlowCheeta, got married on June 29, 2018. Shweta had shared that they first met while working on a theatrical play called The Interview. It was directed by Akarsh Khurana, who wrote screenplay films like Krrish, Kites, and more. Both of them took the place of two other actors who were not available, and the director encouraged Chaitanya to pursue Shweta. The couple connected on their interests in theatre, diving, football, etc. Later, Chaitanya proposed to her with a special performance and self-written poem, and they gave their first wedding invite to Akarsh.

In a previous interview with ETimes, Shweta shared that when she worked with Chaitanya in a play and spoke with him, they instantly hit off. She wanted him to be her best friend. The couple dated for a few years before getting married; throughout the duration, he had been her biggest support system. In her words:
"In just one meeting itself, I grew fond of him. Then we started dating and it has been seven years now. He is my biggest support system and he is one who makes me laugh."
