'Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet Revealed He And Lindsay Built Custom Home To Host Their Wedding

Eric Stonestreet is one of the much-loved American actors and comedians who consistently impresses his fans with his exceptional acting skills. The actor-comedian rose to fame with his role as 'Cameron Tucker' in Modern Family, leading him to be the recipient of two Emmy Awards. The actor recently got married to Lindsay Schweitzer on his 54th birthday. The duo met back in 2016, and it was in 2021 that Eric proposed to his lady love. Before their wedding, back in July 2025, Eric joked that he and his fiancée, Lindsay, were building a custom home in Missouri, not in Kansas City.

Eric Stonestreet revealed he and his ladylove, Lindsay Schweitzer built their home to host their wedding there

Talking to PEOPLE back in July 2025, Eric Stonestreet joked that the end goal of building a home was to host their wedding there. The actor mentioned that their plan was on the right track, and they were almost done with the house. The actor further stated that when the idea of building a home together was presented to him and Lindsay, they immediately thought that there was no better way to start a relationship than by building a foundation. The actor said:

"Well, I've said we're building a house to host a wedding, and we're still on track to do that. We're almost done with the house, and that's been our plan all along. No better way to start a relationship than literally building a foundation.”

Eric Stonestreet and Lindsay Schweitzer's home took several years to make, and it was in January when the actor told PEOPLE that celebrating their wedding at their home had always been their dream.

While they had their wedding and the hope and dream of building their home together on their priority list, Lindsay always wanted to focus on the second one first. He revealed that when he acquired the land, he asked his lady love whether she wanted a house or a celebration with their friends. Well, Eric and Lindsay's first wish was to build their home. The actor could be quoted as saying:

"We definitely want to have a celebration with all of our friends. But it was, ‘We're going to get married.’ And then it was like, ‘Oh my God, we got this land. Let's build a house. Do you want a wedding or a house? Can we do both at one time?’ And she, being as great as she is, she's like, ‘I'd rather build a house with you.’ And I'm like, ‘Me too.’”

For the unversed, Lindsay is a pediatric nurse, and she met the actor back in 2016-2017 at a Kansas City charity event. The duo started bonding, and their relationship began to develop. In 2021, the actor proposed to his lady love. It was on September 8, 2025, on Eric's 54th birthday, that the actor exchanged vows with Lindsay. In the glimpses, Lindsay looked pretty in a strappy satin gown. Sheen makeup and open hair added a touch of star quality to her look. On the other hand, the actor opted for a black-toned tuxedo. In an adorable pic, the couple was seen sharing a kiss, and in another photo, the newlyweds tagged themselves as 'Stonestreets'.
