Naga Chaitanya Says He Admires Sobhita's 'Telugu', Fans Wonder If He Divorced Samantha Due To This

Naga Chaitanya gave love another chance by getting married to Sobhita Dhulipala. However, their wedding was criticised by fans, who were in love seeing Naga Chaitanya with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. While their story ended on a sour note, their fans kept hoping that they would reunite as reports of them getting back together surfaced in 2023. Recently, Chaitanya's one statement received major backlash as netizens are back at guessing the reason for his divorce from Samantha.

Naga Chaitanya revealed one thing he admired about his wife, Sobhita, was her Telugu-speaking skills

Recently, in an interview with Vogue, Naga Chaitanya was questioned about the one thing he admired about Sobhita. However, to everyone's surprise Naga Chaitanya revealed that it was Sobhita's Telugu. He revealed that his family speaks Telugu too but since he had studied in Chennai, and spoke English at home, his Telugu-speaking skills are nowhere up to the mark.

Naga claimed that he keeps joking to Sobhita that she should teach him Telugu, and he hopes that she passes on the intelligence to him. Naga Chaitanya was quoted as saying:

"Her Telugu, man... My family speaks Telugu too, but I studied in Chennai, picked up Tamil outside and spoke English at home—so my Telugu is nowhere near hers. I keep joking that she should teach me, pass on all that intelligence."

Netizens wonder if it was the reason for Naga Chaitanya to part ways from his first wife, Samantha 

As soon as the snippets from Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita's interview with Vogue, surfaced netizens took to Reddit to share their disbelief. A netizen pointed out at Chaitanya's Telugu obsession, and pointed if he wasn't able to connect with his first wife, Samantha Ruth Prabhu due to the same. The user wrote, "Caught this in the new vogue cover interview of sobhita and chay, I'm really fascinated by their story! What's behind this chay's sudden obsession with telugu? Could this be the reason he couldn't connect with Sam?"

A second user recalled how once Chaitanya literally told Samantha to stop trying to speak in Telugu in a talk show, the comment read, "Lmao. I kid you not, there is one talk show where Naga Chaitanya literally tells Samantha to stop trying to speak Telugu so much. Unbelievable." A third user penned, "They're reaaaaally overdoing the "we're both Telegu" thing."

While Naga Chaitanya has moved on from his first marriage, ending up in chaos, his fans have not. After three years of separation, Naga Chaitanya addressed the buzz around moving on in their respective lives with a lot of respect for each other. Naga Chaitanya in Raw Talks With Vk, said:

"It was for the betterment of whoever was involved in the marriage... Whatever the decision was, it was a very conscious decision after much thought and with a lot of respect for the other person. I'm saying this because it's a very sensitive topic for me. I come from a broken family. I'm a child from a broken family so I know what the experience is like. I will think 1000 times before breaking a relationship because I know the repercussions... It was a mutual decision."
