Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala have been making headlines for their highly anticipated wedding. The duo announced their engagement earlier in August 2024 and have been preparing for their joyous union ever since. However, as their December 2024 wedding approaches, there were several speculations that the duo will sell their wedding film to an OTT streaming platform. Naga Chaitanya has finally addressed these speculations.
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are set to marry on December 4, 2024, at Naga Chaitanya's father's iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The venue holds an immensely deep significance for the Akkineni family as it symbolises their rich legacy in the Telugu film industry. However, amid the wedding buzz, Naga Chaitanya has addressed rumours that an OTT platform has acquired the rights to their wedding video for a jaw-dropping Rs. 50 crore. In a conversation with Zoom, the Premam actor dismissed the conjectures and shared:
"This is false news. There is no such deal."
Naga Chaitanya revealed that the wedding will be a sumptuous event in terms of rituals. He shared that the event has majorly been influenced by Sobhita’s family’s enthusiasm for traditional customs. However, Chaitanya also shared that the event will have a small number of attendees, with only close friends and family.
The couple remained tight-lipped about their relationship until their engagement in August 2024. In the same interview, Chaitanya further shared insights into how their love story bloomed. He also shared some details of his upcoming wedding with Sobhita Dhulipala. He revealed that he was in Mumbai for the launch of his OTT show when he met Sobhita, who also had a show on the same platform. Sharing about their first interaction, Chaitanya revealed:
"I was in Mumbai for the launch of my OTT show. During that time, she also had a show with the same platform. We first interacted at the event hosted by the OTT platform."
Naga Chaitanya reflected on his journey together with Sobhita Dhulipala and said that it had been delightful getting to know Sobhita and her family over the past few months. He further shared that seeing the families interact brought him great joy. Chaitanya concluded by adding that he is looking forward to the wedding day. He shared:

This will be Naga Chaitanya’s second marriage. Before this, the actor was married to actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, following a long-term relationship. Speculations regarding their rift surfaced on the internet when Samantha removed the surname Akkineni from her social media in July 2021. They finally announced their separation in October 2021 and finalised their divorce in 2022.
