Nayanthara's Scandalous Affair With Actor, Simbu, Controversial Breakup And Leaked Intimate Pictures

Nayanthara is one of the most popular actresses in South Indian cinema. In a career spanning two decades, she has acted in more than 75 films and is the only actress to be featured in Forbes India's list. Born as Diana Mariam Kurian, Nayanthara changed her religion in 2011 in an Arya Samaj temple in Chennai. 

Nayanthara made her debut in the Malayalam film, Manassinakkare in 2003, which was followed by films like Chandramukhi, Ghajini, Billa, Bodyguard, Thani Oruvan, Viswasam, Bigil, and many others. Nayan excelled in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema and earned the title of ‘Lady Superstar’. She marked her Hindi film debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan with the action film, Jawan in 2023.

Though Nayanthara had an excellent professional life, her personal life was quite turbulent. Filled with rumours and controversies, her affairs often made the headlines. Nayanthara's affair with Simbu

Nayanthara’s relationship with Simbu started in the early 2000s and was her first public relationship. It was during the shooting of the film Vallavan in 2006 that the two fell in love. It was Nayanthara's first serious relationship, and she was often papped with the actor on various occasions.

Nayanthara and Simbu lost trust, leading to their breakup

Nayanthara and Simbu dated for a few months and even went to a talk show as a couple. However, as fate would have it, the duo broke up and called it quits. Neither of the two ever revealed the reason behind their split. Still, in her recently released documentary, Nayanthara shared the reason behind her breakup with Simbu and said the couple lost trust in each other.

Nayanthara and Simbu’s private kissing pictures were leaked

One of the major reasons behind Nayanthara and Simbu’s relationship is the leaked pictures of the couple. In the intimate pictures, which were leaked on social media, Nayathara and Simbu were seen sharing a passionate kiss. As per multiple reports, the actress believed that Simbu was responsible for leaking their private moments.

Nagarjuna confronted Nayanthara for her turbulent affair

In Nayanthara’s documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale, actor Nagarjuna spoke about his first meeting with the actress and the challenges she was facing at that point. For the unversed, Nayanthara worked with Nagarjuna on the Telugu film, Boss. In the documentary, Nagarjuna talked about Nayan’s turbulent affair back then and said:

“I remember we were shooting in Switzerland; I think she was going through a very turbulent time in a relationship. We would all dread her phone ringing. If the phone rang, this girl’s mood would just come down. She would just turn off.  I remember asking her, why are you doing this to yourself? You’re an accomplished woman."

 Nayanthara’s marriage with Vignesh Shivan

After falling in love multiple times, Nayanthara found her soulmate in filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. In 2015, Nayanthara was cast as the leading actress in Vignesh Shivan's film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. During the film's shooting, the two fell head-over-heels in love. The couple kept their relationship a secret and dated for a few years before tying the knot in June 2022. Months after their wedding, the couple welcomed twins, Uyir RudroNeel N Shivan and Ulag Daiwik N Shivan, via surrogacy in October 2022.

Despite the heartbreaks and controversies, Nayanthara emerged as a phoenix and is currently the highest-paid actress in the South Indian film industry.
