It was on the night of March 4, 2025, when the actress took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared the news. The actress shared a picture note that addressed her fans, media and the film fraternity. In the text, she thanked all her sources of happiness and success. She called her life an open book and stated her appreciation for the support and love she had been given over the years. She further added:

"Many of you have graciously referred to me as "Lady Superstar," a title born out of your immense affection. I owe you all a lot for crowning me with such a valuable title. However, I humbly request you all to call me "Nayanthara." This is because I feel that the name is what I hold closest to my heart. It represents who I am not just as an actor but as an individual."

On the same note, Nayanthara further shared how, while these honours are priceless, they can create an image that often separates her from her work, her craft and the unconditional bond she shared with her audience. She added that while she believes they share the language of love, that has kept her and her fans connected beyond limits. The future can be unpredictable. However, she is happy to have their support. She concluded the post by stating that it is cinema that has kept them united.
