PC's 'Bhabhi', Neelam Looks Classy With 'Chooda', 'Sindoor', 'Mehendi', 'Mangalsutra' Over Shirt

Bollywood actress, Priyanka Chopra's brother, Siddharth got married to his long-time girlfriend, Neelam Upadhyaya on February 7, 2025 in Mumbai. Neelam has constantly been sharing updates about her new life after marriage, which took place in front of the couple's family and friends. It looked like Neelam and Siddharth's wedding happened in Punjabi style, as a while back, the actress took to her social media handle to flaunt her chooda informally.

A while back, Neelam took to her Instagram handle to make a reel where she thanked her makeup artist, Pinky for the way she did the makeup. Neelam credited Pinky for Neelam's mehendi, sangeet and pheras makeup. Neelam shared that it made her look good, and feel good. However, what stood out was the fact that the video was shot in broad daylight. Neelam had worn a buttoned white shirt, applied a dash of sindoor, tied a bun, and showed off her mini mangalsutra and her red and white chooda.

Neelam, going ahead in the video, revealed how her makeup artist has been her family for years now and credited her for understanding what Neelam required. Neelam also credited her for delivering more than she promised, which surpassed the expectations of the actress.

For the unversed, chooda are a set of white and red bangles that are given to the bride, usually by the maternal uncle. As per norms, the bride has to wear them for 40 days after the wedding; however, brides are so much in love with the same that they end up wearing them for a year. Talking about Neelam, she glowed in the set of red and white chooda. Her face had a natural glow and her mehendi looked faded but perfect on her hands. Neelam's manicured nails also took the spotlight.

Siddharth and Neelam dated for a couple of years after meeting on a dating app where Priyanka had invested. The couple had their roka ceremony in April 2024 and an engagement ceremony in 2024. Parineeti and Priyanka had done their sisterly duties at the wedding and also shared adorable snaps of the newlyweds. Neelam looked regal in a pure red and gold-hued lehenga from the shelf of Manish Malhotra, while Siddharth looked dapper in an ivory-hued silk sherwani.

Neelam had an ethereal bridal entry at her wedding. Her wedding lehenga had a tailored long veil. A video went viral on Instagram where Priyanka was seen doing her sister-in-law duties. She fixed Neelam's veil, and removed off the nazar right before the varmala ceremony. The video will make you go, 'aww' as Neelam was struggling with the lehenga, but Priyanka helped her bhabhi. Priyanka did not wear the traditional wedding colour- red at the brother of her wedding. She looked royal in an emerald blue lehenga that she coupled with a diamond necklace and a neatly tied bun.
