Neha Bhasin is an Indian singer-songwriter best known for her musical works in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil cinema. She has been showcasing her musical talents since a very young age and took vocal training from Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. The singer became a musical sensation when she was just 18 and was selected by Coke V Popstars. Channel V's nationwide talent search picked Neha to be part of the pop group Viva.
Neha Bhasin, who rose to fame in 2002 with her pop group, Viva, recently opened up about her ongoing emotional and mental struggles. In a deeply personal and emotional note on Instagram, the singer shared about her ongoing battle with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), mental health challenges, and body shaming. Neha took to her social media handles on November 22, 2024, and penned a detailed post about her struggles. She offered a raw insight as she navigated her way toward healing.

Neha Bhasin recalled her battle with PMDD and shared that she has been dealing with the disorder since she was a teenager. The singer revealed that she was also diagnosed with low progesterone in 2022, which has further impacted her health. Neha shared that for years, she has been trying to manage her condition without medication, but it kept on worsening and has hit her the worst in 2024. Talking about the disorder, she shared:
"I was struggling 15 days a month to just get up and live."
Neha Bhasin further shared how her condition led to severe physical and emotional challenges, including fatigue, cramps, and depressive episodes. She revealed that she has been on high doses of progesterone and Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors to manage her symptoms. Despite her episodes and hitting her darkest moments, the singer shared that she is grateful for the support she has received from her loved ones and even strangers. She recollected the instances where strangers comforted her during panic attacks. Neha further added that opening up about her struggles has been a humbling experience for her.
While the journey to navigate through any disease can be difficult for the diseased and their loved ones, Neha shared that she is slowly starting to accept herself. She shared that she is now getting better and has the help that she needs. She also opened up about how she still has bad days, but she is learning to cope with them. Fans and her fellow colleagues have also shown immense support to her and lauded her for being brave to talk about this. She said
