Netizens React To Diljit Dosanjh's Reason To Work With Hania Despite The Row, 'Milk A Sad Story..'

The attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, in April 2025 left India and Pakistan's relationship bitter. The incident, which took 26 innocent lives, resulted in several projects, including Pakistani actors, being shelved. Amid that, Diljit Dosanjh's film, Sardaar Ji 3, features Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, which led to massive outrage among the netizens and extreme trolling of Diljit and the makers of the film for retaining Hania after what happened. While Diljit tried to explain his side of why Hania was retained, netizens are not happy about it.  

Diljit Dosanjh revealed why Pakistani actress, Hania Aamir, was retained in Sardaar Ji 3

Diljit Dosanjh has been one of the most loved actors and singers in the country. However, his recent decision to work with Hania Aamir has led netizens to pull away from the actor. In a recent interview with BBC Asian Network, Diljit finally broke his silence on the matter. The actor reacted to his fans criticising him for working with the Pakistani actress, Hania, despite the ban. It was also worth noting that, Sardaar Ji 3, is going to be released overseas and won't be released in India. During the conversation, Diljit clarified that the film was shot in February 2025, when things were better between India and Pakistan. He was quoted as saying:

"Jab yeh film bani thi tab situation sab theek tha. We shot this in Feb and then everything was fine. Uske baad, bhut saari badi cheezen humare haath mein nahi hai. Toh producers ne decide kiya ki film obviously ab India toh nahi lagegi, toh overseas release karte hain."

Diljit Dosanjh, in the same conversation, revealed that the producers of the film, Sardaar Ji 3, have invested a lot of money in the making of the film. He added that they will already suffer a major loss given a major territory has been removed from the release. However, he wanted to support the producers, hence he supported them when they decided to release the film abroad.

Netizens react to Diljit Dosanjh's claims

Soon enough, the interview was shared on the discussion platform, Reddit, and the netizens started to chime in and share their dismay with Diljit's reasons. A user penned, "This is obvious but not the real reason, you actually want to make money no matter what." A comment read, "Private jet ko hafte bhar ke liye rent mei de do. Poori picture nayi ban jaati." Another wrote:

"Great, PR have started pushing bechara narrative now. The sheer audacity of this man. Then why the producers are releasing a different version in India without hania because they know where the money lies and overseas release have marginal contributions to box office.Just release the one without hania overseas as well. Also let’s not pretend that he’s isn’t co producing the damn film."

While other users pointed out how several films with Pakistani actors, including Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor's Abir Gulal, have been shelved. A user wrote, "Producers ka bht paisa Abir Gulal mei bhi laga hoga. But they did what was right." Another comment read, "Producers could have simply replaced Hania's face with VFX and still could have made more money." A user wrote, "So many movies have been shelved. This movie is, anyway, not succeeding. It’s doomed from the start. Shelve karke this guy could have saved his izzat at least."
