Nicole Scherzinger Reveals Text Message She Sent Her Friend, Liam Payne Hours Before His Demise

It was on October 16, 2024, when former One Direction singer, Liam James Payne, at the age of 31, tragically died after he fell from the CasaSur Hotel's third-floor balcony. The sad incident took place in Buenos Aires, and according to the Guardian, authorities were called after Liam was alleged to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Now ace singer, Nicole Scherzinger spoke about the text message she had sent to Liam hours before his demise.

Nicole, in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, spoke about the last text she sent to her buddy, Liam, hours before he passed away. For the unversed, both of them became friends 16 years back when she was a judge on the X Factor UK, and she put Liam with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik to form One Direction. Now, Nicole is addressing the last text she sent to Liam shared:

"I’d known he was in Argentina. It was just chit-chat and pretty light."

Nicole and Liam's bond grew very strong on Building The Band, that got filmed months before Liam passed away. Nicole also told the publication that she had found out about the demise of Liam when she was about to go on stage for a performance of Sunset Boulevard back in New York. Nicole always knew that Liam had a good heart, and she adored him a lot.

According to reports online, the manager of CasaSur Hotel had called the emergency services as Liam reportedly was in an aggressive mode, damaging his room and also posed a danger because of the balcony. Well, Nicole, a good friend of Payne, was to go on the stage for her Broadway show, and she went to perform. Nicole, speaking about the same, shared how she mustered the courage to perform. She also told the same publication how, after the incident, she dedicated a small part of her show in the name of Liam. Nicole said:

“The show must go on. From then on, I dedicated a little part of the show to Liam every night. Just a little moment that always made me think of him.”

Nicole, once in an interview with The Times, shared how she barely knew late Liam when she put One Direction together. She revealed that she had seen these talented boys and said how she had come out of the Pussycat Dolls, an all-girl group. Nicole clearly knew the power of a group. However, when Liam passed away, Nicole realised that compassion was of the utmost requirement in the world and noted:

"Our phones are our enemies as much as they help us."

Nicole got Liam and his iconic band, One Direction, together, and after guiding him on the British show, they also worked together on the Netflix program called Building The Band. Liam died exactly after the fall from the balcony. He had a cranial fracture along with a fatal internal as well as external trauma, and his survival became completely incompatible. When a forensic report was done as per The Guardian, alcohol, cocaine, and a prescribed antidepressant were found in Liam's system.
