Nidhi Dutta Announces She Is Expecting Her First Child With Pictures From The Sets Of 'Border 2'

Nidhi Dutta has lately been busy with the making of her passion project, Border 2. The Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty-starrer have been her baby as she did not just produce but has also written it. While she is occupied with shaping the project based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war, there has been a new addition to her list of celebrations. The producer recently shared that she is expecting her first baby with her husband, Binoy Gandhi.

Nidhi Dutta shares pregnancy announcement pictures from the set of Border 2

Nidhi Dutta announced her pregnancy with pictures from the set of Border 2 on her Instagram handle. The producer took to her social media platform on March 7, 2025, and shared two pictures with her husband, Binoy Gandhi. For the unversed, the latter recently directed the 2024 film, Ghudchadi. Nidhi donned a brown full-sleeve top that lovingly hugged her baby bump and paired it with blue denim pants and matching Polo Ralph Lauren boots. 

Binoy Gandhi, on the other hand, was dressed in a camouflaged sweatshirt, blue denim pants, and white ankle boots. Nidhi Dutta shared two pictures on her Instagram. In the first picture, Binoy is seen on his knee as he kisses Nidhi's growing bump. In the second picture, he held Nidhi from behind as the duo cradled the latter's pregnant belly. The producer, shared the picture with the caption:

"Our Greatest Blessing is on the way…"

According to a report by Mid-Day, Nidhi Dutta shared the joyous news with the cast and crew of Border 2 when director, Anurag Singh took the film on floors in January 2025. If the reports are to be believed, she announced her pregnancy on set, and the entire unit was immensely happy for her. They added that the baby is due in July 2025, and the producer is managing the film and her pregnancy well. The source stated:

"She announced her pregnancy on the set, and the unit couldn't be happier. Her parents, JP Dutta and Bindiya were over the moon! Interestingly, Bindiya was expecting their second child, Siddhi, during the making of Border. Nidhi wants to be a hands-on producer. Being a woman producer on a war film isn’t easy, but having such examples will encourage more women. She is balancing the film and her pregnancy beautifully. The baby is due in July; by then, the movie’s post-production will begin."

Mid-Day also reached out to Nidhi Dutta's father and filmmaker, JP Dutta. The filmmaker confirmed that news and asked for everyone's blessing for his daughter and son-in-law. He also revealed that he was proud of Nidhi and stated:

"Yes, it’s true. We need everyone's blessings as Nidhi and Binoy begin this new chapter in their lives. To see my daughter working on the film tirelessly while expecting her bundle of joy makes me so proud."
