Nikkhil continued to reveal that Shah Rukh has a habit of criticising the film he discusses with the makers. At the same time, the superstar compares it with the other movie he is working on and praises that one. For the unversed, in the '80s and '90s, actors used to work on multiple films at the same time. So, Shah Rukh Khan criticised Kal Ho Naa Ho similarly. In Nikkhil's words:
"When we were doing Mohabbatein, or was it Kuch Kuch Hota Hai… I think Mohabbatein, Shah Rukh was shooting for Hey Ram. And Shah Rukh has a habit of coming for a meeting where he says that the film he is making with you is rubbish, you should be seeing the other film. In Kal Ho Naa ho, he said Devdas is fantastic, Kal Ho Naa Ho is rubbish. He has that habit."
In a previous interview with Film Companion, Nikkhil Advani revealed that Shah Rukh did not like his death scene in Kal Ho Naa Ho. Although, it proved to be a highlight in the hit film. The Pathaan star constantly told Nikkhil that the scene was irrelevant and that the audience wouldn't respect it. However, Shah Rukh was simultaneously working on his death scene in Devdas. He compared them praised the one in Devdas, saying:
"Now, that's called a death scene."
