Nushrratt Bharuccha Recalls Going On Arrange Marriage Meetings, Says She Was Asked To Quit Acting

Nushrratt Bharuccha is a famous actress in Bollywood. She made her debut in the acting world back in 2002 with a minor role in the television series Kittie Party. Four years later, in 2006, she stepped into Bollywood with the movie, Jai Santoshi Maa. Nushrratt earned fame with her roles in movies like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Dream Girl, and more. The actress' personal life has been the talk of the town recently with her link-up buzz with Honey Singh. Well, the actress dismissed the same, and recently she revealed being a part of some arranged marriage meetings.

Nushrratt Bharuccha talks about the pressure of getting married 

Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Nushrratt Bharuccha revealed that she recently met her grandmom, who asked her to get married soon, citing her and the actress' parents' growing age. The actress mentioned that her grandmom asked her who would take care of her, as they are all becoming old. Nushrratt shared that even her parents are now tired of asking her to get married. Recalling her answers, Nushrratt revealed that she doesn't fight at home for marriage, and instead, she tells her parents that as they couldn't find the right guy for her, she couldn't do the same, thus, she doesn't have anything to do. In Nushrratt Bharuccha's words:

"I recently went to meet my grandmother and she again asked me to get married saying, ‘Just look at my age. Your mom and dad are also old. Who will take care of you? Shaadi karle.’ My father also said the same things, ‘We are now tired of asking her to marry’. But you see I don’t fight at home for marriage. I tell them that I will marry the day I meet the guy. ‘You haven’t been able to find a guy and I too haven’t been able to find him. So, what do I do in that.'”

Nushrratt Bharuccha talks about being a part of arranged marriage meetings

In the same interview, Nushrratt Bharuccha revealed that she has met with a lot of guys that her parents recommended, and even been a part of arranged marriage meetings, even without seeing the guy's photo. She jokingly mentioned that whenever there's a meeting about the same, the cuisine is made according to her choice, so if she doesn't like the guy, at least she would be happy with the good food. Nushrratt Bharuccha can be quoted as saying:

"I have met with lots of guys that my parents suggested. I have gone to an arrange marriage meeting without seeing the boy’s photo. But for these meetings I have one condition that the cuisine will be of my choice, so that atleast I like the food, if not the guy.”

Nushrratt Bharuccha was asked to quit acting during arranged marriage meetings

Talking more about the same, Nushrratt Bharuccha revealed what she likes most about arranged marriages, which is that the partners are really open and clear about what they want from each other. She further revealed that it also happened that in a few of the meetings, she was asked to quit acting, but it would never happen. Nushrratt Bharuccha said:

"What I like about arrange marriage is that they have a clarity of what they want in their partner. But I have been asked many times to quit acting and films after marriage and smile and refuse the condition, ‘Yeh toh nahi hoga.'"

When Nushrratt Bharuccha reacted to her dating buzz with Honey Singh

Last year reports about Nushrratt Bharuccha and Honey Singh's dating buzz caught up all the headlines. It was reported that Honey Singh and his ex-GF, Tina Thadani broke up due to the actress. Well, earlier, in an interview with The Indian Express, the actress talked about the same. She shared that it's the first dating buzz of her life, as there had been none before the same. The actress jokingly added that now she has a dating buzz in life, which she was missing out on. Indirectly dismissing the buzz, Nushrratt stated that she has no issues with people creating stories through imagination.
