Pakistani Cricketer, Shahid Afridi Becomes A Grandfather As His Daughter, Aqsa Welcomed A Baby Girl

Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi, a.k.a. Shahid Afridi, is a former Pakistani cricketer, who also served as the captain of their national cricket team. A few months back, Shahid shared the good news with the world as his second eldest daughter, Ansha Afridi, who is married to Pakistani fast bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi, gave birth to her first child, a son named Aliyaar Afridi. And, now, his eldest daughter has welcomed another new member into the family, and the Pakistani cricketer is over the moon with happiness.

Shahid Afridi shared he became a 'nana' to a baby girl

Taking to his Instagram account, Shahid Afridi shared the good news with all his fans and well-wishers: he has yet again become a grandfather. The former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi welcomed his first girl grandchild, Ayra, with open arms. His daughter, Aqsa Afridi and her husband, Naseer became parents of an adorable girl. Sharing the good news, Shahid wrote:

“Alhamdulillah, Allah has blessed Aqsa & Naseer with beautiful Ayra. Daughters are the purest reflection of His mercy and the most precious blessing. Keep us in your prayers.”

Shahid Afridi shared the first glimpse of his granddaughter along with the announcement. In a black and white photo, the mother and father can be seen holding their newborn daughter's feet as they announce her arrival in the cutest way possible.

Shahid Afridi welcomed his first grand child

Shahid Afridi's daughter, Ansha Afridi, welcomed her first child with her husband, Shaheen Shah Afridi, a few months back in August 2024. The couple are now proud parents of a baby boy named Aliyaar Afridi. The Afridi family shared the joyful news through the official Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) WhatsApp group. In their message, they expressed their profound gratitude for the overwhelming love and blessings from their fans. The post read as:

"You are receiving loving messages from all your friends on becoming the youngest grandfather in the world of cricket. My family and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for joining us in our happiness."

Shahid Afridi also shared a glimpse of the beautiful baby boy, who swooned our hearts in a puddle. In the photo, the baby boy looked adorable, with his bright eyes and rosy cheeks, dressed in a white-hued onesie and matching cap with tiny heart and star prints on it.
