'Param Sundari' OTT Release, Jahnvi Kapoor And Sidharth Malhotra's Rom-Com Is Available For Rent

Rom-coms have always held a special place in Bollywood. Recently, Sidharth Malhotra and Jahnvi Kapoor starred in Param Sundari, directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, which followed the classic charm of Bollywood. The film was released in theatres on August 29, 2025, and it managed to win a lot of hearts. For those who missed it in theatres, Param Sundari is now available on OTT. Param Sundari is a romantic-comedy film that revolves around a Delhi guy and Kerala girl. The film opens in Delhi, with 'Param Sachdev' (Sidharth Malhotra), a rich and restless young man who likes investing in new startups. To prove a point to his father, he signs up for an AI matchmaking app, where he meets 'Thekkepattu Sundari Damodharan Pillai' (Janhvi Kapoor). 

Later, 'Param' goes to Kerala to meet his 'Sundari'. The film shows the love story of the duo, from friendship to lovers. Towards the end, 'Sundari' feels betrayed when she gets to know about 'Param's’ matchmaking app. However, the film ends when the lovers unite and finally confess their feelings. 

When and where to watch the film, Param Sundari on OTT

Param Sundari has finally arrived on OTT platforms. On October 10, 2025, the film was made available for fans on Amazon Prime Video in India. Reportedly, the film is not free, it is available to rent at Rs. 349. When you rent on Prime Video, the movie usually stays in your library for 30 days, but once you press play, you typically have 48 hours to finish watching. On Amazon Prime Video, the synopsis of the film is:

"Set against Kerala’s picturesque backwaters, Param Sundari follows Param, a rich, flamboyant Delhi boy, and Sundari, a graceful local girl. Their cross-cultural romance unfolds through humorous misadventures, cultural clashes, and heartwarming moments."

Param Sundari’s box office collection

Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, was released in theatres on August 29, 2025, with a runtime of around 2 hours 15 minutes. In theatres, the film had a decent collection, as it earned Rs. 54.85 crore in India and around Rs. 25 crore worldwide, making the total collection approximately Rs. 90 crore. When the film was released, fans appreciated the soulful music by Sachin-Jigar, unique narrative and strong acting. Despite the praise, the film also received criticism for its stereotypical portrayal of Malayali culture.

Janhvi Kapoor is a popular Bollywood actress. After the success of Param Sundari, she was seen in the film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari alongside Varun Dhawan, Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra. Next, she was also seen in the film, Homebound, which premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and was selected as India's entry for the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards.

On the other hand, Sidharth Malhotra is a well-known actor, who is known for hit films like Shershah, Thank God, Yodha and more. In his personal life, he and his wife, Kiara Advani welcomed a baby girl on July 15, 2025. A few days ago, he jokingly called himself a 'supporting actor' in the parenting journey.
