'Performed Surgery On Me..' Parveen Babi Accused Amitabh Of Kidnapping Her And Dragged Him To Court

Parveen Babi, an ever-shining star of Bollywood, was one of the highest-paid actresses of the 1970s-80s. With her credit to 70 films, Parveen proved her worth in the Hindi film industry. She made her debut back in 1972 with the film, Charitra. While the film couldn't achieve much success, Parveen's skills and beauty grabbed a lot of attention, bringing her some of the best roles in the following years. Well, Parveen Babi and Amitabh Bachchan again broke the headlines when reportedly the late actress accused him of kidnapping her. Yes! It was back in that time when Parveen reportedly filed a complaint against Amitabh Bachchan and dragged him to the court. As per a report by FilmiBeat, Parveen, in a leading magazine, claimed Amitabh Bachchan to be an 'international gangster'. As per the report, Parveen stated that Amitabh hired goons to kidnap her, and she was kept on an island, wherein a chip was planted under her ear through surgery. Parveen allegedly said:

"Amitabh Bachchan is a super international gangster. He is after my life. His goons kidnapped me and I was kept on an island where they performed a surgery on me and planted a transmitter or chip right under my ear."

Not only this, Parveen Babi reportedly filed a police complaint against Amitabh Bachchan and even dragged him to court. Well, Amitabh was given a clean chit, as during the investigation, it was revealed that Parveen was diagnosed with schizophrenia. For the unversed, schizophrenia is a form of mental illness, that affects the victim's thought process, feelings, and behaviour, thereby making them distant from reality.

As Amitabh Bachchan and Parveen Babi were a hit pair back then, soon their fans started shipping them, and gossip about their possible brewing romance started creating the headlines. Amitabh already being married to Jaya Bachchan back at that time, he and Parveen never actually confirmed being anything more than friends of one another. Well, it's worth saying that they had dismissed all the gossip about them being romantically linked with one another. On the other hand, a few reports also claimed that after their link-up buzz made headlines, Amitabh made his distance from Parveen, and it left the latter furious.

Amitabh Bachchan also talked about Parveen's allegations against him during the investigation. He stated that it was the actress' illness that distanced her from reality and caused her excessive delusions and hallucinations. Talking about Parveen, in another interview, Amitabh once also shared how the actress only minded her own business on the sets, and no one could even trace her presence there. He further added that Parveen would come with others to meet him when he faced an accident. He expressed his sadness over the actress' health and shared that it was in 1983 when he took her out for her live show, but she suddenly disappeared after that time.
