Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan’s relationship had become the talk of the town after their stint in Bigg Boss 14. From passion to compassion, from love to hate, from care to possessiveness, Pavitra and Eijaz had shown every flavour of love during their stint in the reality show. From their ishaqzaade love to their head over heels love, their fans had witnessed it all and since the time Pavitra had left the show, Eijaz was clear that he wishes to marry his ladylove at any cost. Eijaz’s “Tu Jaise hai, mujhe qubool hai” has become a nationwide way to propose your partner and the two have been painting the town red with their love.

Well, Pavitra is Hindu, Eijaz is Muslim and even during the show, their love angle had itched many people and some religious sentiments were hurt. While Pavitra is 34 years old, Eijaz Khan is 45 and their age gap too had made lots of tails wagging. However, as they say, jab koi pyaar mein hota hai toh kuch sahi ya galat nahi hota hai, Eijaz and Pavitra have been proving this statement right every day with their love story.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Pavitra talked about her age-gap with Eijaz and if their religion ever became a problem for them. Pavitra shared that the two have met each other’s family and they respect one another’s religion completely. She shared, “Yes, we have met each other's families. Though we haven't met each other's parents as such but have been meeting each other's siblings, cousins, friends etc. We are taking it slow and in the flow. We respect each other's religion completely. I have nothing else to say on this.”
When asked if the 12-year age gap matters and acts as a hindrance in their relationship, Pavitra shared that it doesn’t matter to her if the man is a few years older than her. In her words, “I don't think age is a constraint when it comes to love. Especially in olden times, men would marry girls younger than half their age and it was fine with the society back then. It is said that a man should be older to a woman because, by the time the girl turns into a woman, he matures too. So it doesn't matter if the man is a few years older to you. If you are destined to be together, age never is a hindrance.” When asked if their respective families are fine with the religion and age gap, Pavitra said, “Yes, I think so. As far as now, all is ok. Had there been any problems, we would have already known. All of our family members know about us now.”
