Pawan Singh Apologises As His Video Of Touching Anjali's Waist Inappropriately Sparked Controversy

Bhojpuri actor, Pawan Singh grabbed the attention lately as he sparked a controversy with his video that showed him inappropriately touching his co-star, Anjali Raghav's waist without her consent. No sooner did the video go viral than netizens slammed the actor for his deed. Following the same incident, Anjali Raghav stated in a video that she would leave the industry, which ultimately intensified the outrage surrounding her. Amid this, Pawan took to his social media handle and dropped a cryptic post, followed by an apology note to Anjali.

Taking to his social media handle, Pawan Singh dropped a cryptic post in Hindi, whose rough translation in English suggests that the one who suffers can only feel the pain, and no one else can understand the sufferings of others. Following this, Pawan Singh released an apology letter. On his Instagram handle, he shared a note, wherein he stated that he had no malicious intentions towards her. In the viral videos, Pawan was seen repeatedly touching Anjali's waist, claiming something was stuck to it, and the actress appeared visibly uncomfortable. However, she later appeared live and announced that she had decided to quit the industry.

In his apology note, Pawan Singh stated that he was unable to join Ajali Raghav's live video due to his busy work schedule, and later, upon learning about the incident, he felt remorse. He also added that he had no wrong intentions towards her, and they are all artists. He went on to reveal that even if she had felt bad about whatever happened, he apologises. Pawan's note could be read as:

"Anjali ji, vyasth schedule ke kaaran main aapka live dekh nahi paaya. Mujhe jab iss baat ki jaankari huyi, toh mujhe bura laga. Mera aapke prati koi bhi ghalat intention nahi tha kyuki humlog kalakaar hai. Iske bawajood, agar aapko humari kisi bhi byawahaar se taqleef huyi ho toh uske liye main shama prarthi hoon."

Anjali Raghav revealed quitting the industry after Pawan Singh's controversy

Anjali Raghav had earlier taken to her Instagram handle and shared that she felt really hurt by what had happened. The actress said that she has been very hurt for the last two days. She questioned whether people thought she liked being touched in public like that. She mentioned that she had asked her team members later if there was something stuck to her waist, as previously referred to by Pawan, but she found out that there was nothing. Anjali said that she felt really bad and also felt like crying as she was really angry. Revealing that people were calling Pawan God, Anjali revealed:

"Jab baad mein maine apne team member se pucha ki kuch laga hai, unhone kaha ki kuch bhi nahi laga tha. Tab mujhe bohot zyada bura laga, gussa aaya aur rona bhi aaya. Lekin mujhe samajh nahi aaya ki main kya karun?"

The incident occurred in Lucknow during the promotion of Pawan and Anjali's song, Saiya Seva Kare. Talking more about the same, Anjali said that she doesn't like it if a girl is being touched like that without her consent. She further stated that if the same incident had occurred in Haryana, she wouldn't have had to say a word; instead, people would have condemned the actor. However, the incident happened in Lucknow, for which reason, she didn't get any support from the public. She also revealed that she wouldn't work in the Bhojpuri industry.
