Premanand Maharaj Health Update, His Condition Is Improving? Viral Video Shows Him Laughing

Spiritual leader, Premanand Maharaj, has been suffering from chronic kidney issues for a long time. He is currently undergoing daily dialysis. He suffers from Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), a genetic disorder that causes cysts to grow in the kidneys and leads to progressive loss of function. His devotees have been worried sick because of his deteriorating physical condition. He recently appeared in a YouTube video with Bigg Boss fame, Elvish Yadav, where he casually shared that he has no hope of getting better. Amid that, another video is going viral in which he is seen laughing, making fans wonder whether his condition has improved.

Premanand Maharaj was seen laughing wholeheartedly after days

A recent video on the official Bhajan Marg Instagram account featured Premanand Maharaj in his usual smiley avatar, which the devotees missed for a long time, especially as his health condition began to deteriorate significantly. The Vrindavan saint was seen laughing wholeheartedly, bringing momentary relief to his followers. The post emerged after a period of intense concern over Premanand Maharaj's condition, which has led to him temporarily halting his daily public processions. His healing chuckle soothed the hearts of the pained devotees, who felt that Premanand Maharaj seemed healthier than before.

Premanand Maharaj used to take a daily 4 a.m. padayatra (pilgrimage by foot), which has now been suspended indefinitely for two primary reasons. First, his worsening kidney condition, and second, public disturbances. However, with him seeming a little more cheerful than before, fans wonder if they might see him resuming his public strolls. As of now, the ashram has formally requested that followers not congregate along his usual route for darshan, but thousands still gather daily, hoping for a glimpse of the revered saint. The devotees continue to pray for his speedy recovery, irrespective of their religious allegiance.

A Muslim devotee prayed for Premanand Maharaj in Saudi Arabia

In a heartwarming display of interfaith harmony, we saw a Muslim man from Prayagraj, Sufiyan Allahabadi, pray for the health of Premanand Maharaj while on a pilgrimage in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The prayers, offered in October 2025, quickly gained viral attention on social media, receiving appreciation as a symbol of interfaith harmony. In the video, Sufiyan is seen raising his hands in prayer for the Hindu saint. He asked Allah to restore the saint's health so that he could continue guiding his followers. Many social media users lauded the act as a true reflection of India's 'Ganga-Jamuni culture'.

The 'Ganga-Jamuni culture' is a term referring to the composite culture of India, which is a synthesis of Hindu and Muslim elements. This is not the first instance of a Muslim devotee showing support for Sant Premanand Maharaj. In August 2025, Arif Khan Chishti, a 26-year-old Muslim youth from Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, offered to donate one of his kidneys to the saint, who is suffering from autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. Arif stated his motivation was inspired by the saint's teachings on love and peace, and he called the Maharaj a 'symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity'.
