Tania is one of the most talented actresses in the Punjabi film industry. She stepped into acting with the film, Son of Manjeet Singh. However, it was Qismat that was released before Son of Manjeet Singh, making it Tania's debut film. Besides being a phenomenal actress, the Qismat star is also a scholar; thus, her parents, Dr Anil Jit Singh Kamboj and Anju Arora, wanted her to be a doctor. But destiny had other plans, and Tania became a star of Punjabi films. Recently, the Punjabi actress had to go through a disturbing phase as her father was shot in a clinic. A while ago, she wrote a heartwrenching note giving an update about her life.
On October 4, 2025, Tania took to her Instagram handle and shared a lengthy, heartwrenching note. She shared how her life changed within three months after her dad, Dr. Anil Jit Singh Kamboj, was shot in a clinic. For the unversed, on July 4, 2025, two assailants entered the clinic posing as patients and shot Tania’s father from close range. In the note, Tania mentioned how these three months were tough for her, as in the morning, she used to be under the studio lights and at night, she was in the ICU, sitting beside her dad. She expressed that every day has been a test of faith, strength and surrender. She wrote:
"From July 4th till today…Life has taken me through corridors I never imagined walking—ICUs, OTs, endless waiting rooms. On some mornings, I was under studio lights, smiling for the camera… and by night, I was in the ICU, holding back tears by my father’s bedside."
In the same note, Tania mentioned that somewhere between the tragic incident and her professional life, something had changed. In fact, she had zero knowledge about the change. She shared that her life switched from vanity to ventilators. Tania also mentioned that nowadays she doesn’t talk about scripts, lipstick shades or anything related to the glamour world, but rather it's all about the medical term discussions, including blood units and gut bleeds. She wrote:
"Somewhere in between, my life changed. I have zero idea how life changed from vanities to ventilators. How I no more talked about scripts, lipstick shades and cameras. But it was all about tracheostomy, gut bleeds, tlc counts and blood units."
Tania concluded the note by sharing that the battle she has been fighting for three months is still not over. But she wants to thank everyone who stood beside her and her family. She also wished everyone good health and showered love on them. She wrote:
"The journey is still not over yet. But yeah. Once in the middle of an ordinary life- An extraordinary experience happens. Thank you to everyone who has been there for me and my family through this tough time…Your kindness is etched in my heart forever. Wishing good health, love and positivity for everyone… may this festive season brings light to everyone’s life."
We wish Tania's father's speedy recovery.
