Sritej, is an eight-year-old boy who is fighting for his life at KIMS hospital. December 4, 2024, was a horrific night for the child when a stampede-like situation took place at the Sandhya Theatre. Pushpa 2's leading hero, Allu Arjun, had come to see the reaction to his film in the theatre, and the sea of fans went berserk. During the stampede, Sritej's mom, Mogudampalli Revathi, passed away, and now, as per the latest update the little boy's brain is damaged and is battling for his life on a ventilator.
The child is admitted to KIMS hospital where he is in the ICU. The doctors who are looking after him said that he is on ventilation and requires minimal oxygen support. A tracheostomy is also being planned by the doctors and a statement released by the team of doctors on December 17, 2024, read:
"Child Sritej continues to remain in PICU needing mechanical ventilation with minimal support of oxygen and pressures. His fever is reducing, and he is on minimal inotropes. His vital parameters are stable, and he is tolerating feeds well. Given his static neurological status, a tracheostomy is being planned to facilitate weaning from the ventilator."
The cops, upon reaching Sandhya theatre, did try their level best to administer CPR and rushed the mother and the son to a nearby hospital. However, Revathi could not make it, and Sritej had to be admitted to the ICU. Following this shocking incident, the Hyderabad Police got into action and questioned Allu Arjun's security team and the management team of Sandhya Theatre. The cops booked them on varied charges of culpable homicide, not amounting to murder, along with quoting negligence that was the cause of chaos.
As per an Economic Times report, actor Allu Arjun was seen as the 11th accused in the case and was arrested on December 13, 2024. The actor, received interim bail on the same day but was released from the bars on the morning of December 14, 2024. A showcase notice was also issued to Sandhya Theatre that highlighted the failure of the theatre's management system, which led to the unforeseen incident.
Allu Arjun's fan, Sritej's neurological condition has severely been impacted, according to a statement released by the Hyderabad Police chief. The top officer also noted that:

Sritej's recovery is reportedly uncertain and will be taking a lot of time. This is because his brain suffered damage because of the lack of oxygen that took place when Allu Arjun arrived at the Sandhya theatre. C.V Anand, who is the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, along with the Telangana Government Health Secretary, Dr. Christina, had reportedly also visited the hospital to enquire about the child's health. This case has become high prolific. Sritej and Revathi were the many fans whose luck was not in their favour when they came to watch Allu Arjun at the overcrowded place.
