Punjabi singer, Rajvir Jawanda's last rites have taken place at his native village called Pona, located in Jagaraon Tehsil in Ludhiana. Singer, Ammy Virk had taken to his Instagram handle to share details related to Rajvir's funeral after the singer lost his life in a tragic bike accident on September 27, 2025. Despite seeking extensive medical support and being continuously monitored by the Critical Care and Neurosurgery team, Rajvir succumbed to multiple organ failure on October 8, 2025.

Singer, Ammy Virk reveals details related to Rajvir Jawanda's last rites

Rajvir was on life support system at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, for 11 days, and singer, Ammy Virk shared that his last rites took place on October 9, 2025. Ammy had taken to Instagram to share about his last rites details. The picture posted by Ammy had the details written in Punjabi and English, which spoke about October 9, 2025, being the day and date when Rajvir's funeral took place. It took place at Pona located in Jagraon Tehsil in Ludhiana district.

Rajvir Jawanda's fans express sadness over Rajvir Jawanda's funeral details

Ammy in the note commented, "Waheguru" while his and Rajvir's fans expressed their sadness over the funeral note. Most of the Punjabi fans commented, "Waheguru Ji," while some of them prayed for Rajvir's soul to rest in peace. For the unversed, Rajvir had passed away in Fortis, Mohali, at 10.55 a.m. on October 8, 2025. He was in a critical condition with head and spinal injuries, along with brain damage. The statement issued by the hospital read:

"He was admitted on September 27, 2025, in an extremely critical condition following a road accident that caused severe spinal injuries and brain damage. Despite extensive medical support and continuous monitoring by the Critical Care and Neurosurgery teams, he succumbed to multiple organ failure this morning. Our deepest condolences to his family and fans."

What had happened to Rajvir Jawanda?

Rajvir was injured during a bike accident in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district when he was travelling to Shimla on a motorcycle on September 27, 2025. The accident had taken place in Himachal's Baddi area when he had lost control of his motorcycle, as per a NDTV report. He was got to Fortis in an extremely critical state. Rajvir was from Pona village located in Ludhiana. Rajvir is known for his songs such as Tu Dis Penda, Khush Reha Kar, Sardari, Surname, Afreen, Landlord, Down to Earth, and Kangani.

Earlier there were reports doing the rounds that Rajvir had suffered a cardiac arrest. However, it was not true. For the uninitiated, it was in 2014 when the late singer began his career with the single, Munda Like Me and gained fame with the song, Kali Jawande Di in 2016. He also used to earn his revenue through various music streaming platforms, one of which was Apple Music. He had once dreamt of being a police officer when he grew up, and he abandoned that dream to make a life as a Punjabi singer.
