In a heartbreaking turn of events, famous Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away at 10.55 a.m. on October 8, 2025, after spending 12 days in the ICU of Fortis Hospital in Mohali. The young singer lost his life at merely 35, and his global fans have been mourning. Now, an old track created by the singer in 2022 titled, Maavan has surfaced on the social media. This is because Rajvir's song was dedicated to moms who lost their sons and was a poignant tribute to the silent grief that countless women carried.

Rajvir had sung a song called Maavan, which was an emotional tribute to the mothers who experience loss after the demise of their sons. The song went viral on X (formerly Twitter now after the tragic demise of Rajvir in a bike accident. A user shared a snippet from the song and, in a sad note, wrote:

"Life is crazy couple years ago, Rajvir jawanda sang a song about mothers and their sons who leave this world too young. rip to a great young talent of punjab, taken far too soon."

Speaking of late Rajvir's song, Maavan, it shows a reminder that loss is never seen as a singular element. The grief of losing a child is something which is deep, profound and is a mirror to those who have experienced it. The song has become viral at a time when a young Rajvir has left behind his family, with countless followers mourning.

When Rajvir Jawanda's wife had pleaded with him not to ride the bike to Shimla

Rajiv sustained severe head and spinal injury and fought for roughly 12 days in the hospital, where he was on life support. He remained critical entirely during the hospital stay. According to a report by the Hindustan Times, Rajvir's close friends stated that his wife had pleaded with him not to go on the bike trip that led to his accident. A friend stated:

"She told him not to go… but he didn’t listen."

The friend did add that Rajvir's wife did ask him not to ride his 1300cc motorcycle, which was high-powered, as it was unsafe. The late singer reassured that he would come back soon, and that phone call was the last conversation. Rajvir was known to be extremely private about his personal life and never shared the name of his wife or her pictures on social media. He preferred to keep his family out of the limelight. According to a report by Money Control, Rajvir's net worth in 2025 is around Rs. 4 to Rs. 5 crore. It came from music royalty platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, Gaana, when he used to do live performances and also brand endorsements.

Who was Rajvir Jawanda?

Rajvir was born in  Pona village, located in Jagraon in the Ludhiana district. It was in 2014 when he started his music career with a single called Munda Like Me. However, it was in 2016 when he crooned Kali Jawande Dil that actually gave him fame. His voice touched the hearts of all and the lyrics gave all a massive fan base. Rajvir had also made a mark in the Punjabi cinema and did movies such as Jind Jaan, Mindo Taseeldarni, and Kaka Ji.
