Rashmika Mandanna's Ex-Fiance, Rakshit Shetty's Close Friend, Rishabh Shetty Reacts To Her Wedding

As Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are going to tie the knot within a few hours, his fans are super excited and so is the media. It is a grand wedding of the pan-India actors. Rashmika and Vijay have both established themselves in not just regional cinema but also in Bollywood. Amidst it, Rashmika's ex-fiance, Rakshit Shetty, is also grabbing a lot of headlines. Recently, his close friend, Rishabh Shett,y reacted to her wedding with Vijay Deverakonda.

Rishabh Shetty reacted to Rashmika and Vijay's wedding in Udaipur

All eyes are on Kannada actor and filmmaker, Rakshit Shetty with whom Rashmika was previously engaged. The ex-couple got engaged in 2017, but they broke the engagement in the same year. Soon, she even started taking projects outside of Sandalwood. As Rashmika's wedding festivities are in full swing, we are getting glimpses.

Her ex-fiance, Rakshit Shetty's best friend, Rishabh Shetty, who had also launched the actress, was asked about her wedding at an event. Rishabh chose not to respond the question and simply said, "Thank you." He didn't directly comment on the wedding and chose to ignore it.

Rashmika distanced herself from Kannada industry after her broken engagement with Rakshit Shetty

Earlier, Pramod Shetty also revealed that he didn't get an invite to Rashmika and Vijay's wedding. He stated that, but if he got it, he would have gone there. He also stated that he knows that Rashmika won't invite them, and Rakshit Shetty is also not a child. He was quoted as saying:

"I haven't received Rashmika's wedding invitation yet. If I get it, I'll go. We know she won’t invite us, nothing new. As for Rakshit Shetty, he’s not a kid eating chocolate and sitting around feeling guilty about it."

The actress also faced backlash for not taking up any projects in Kannada industry after her debut film. Not only this when Rishabh Shetty's film, Kantara became a hit, Rashmika staright away shared that she had not watched the film. This led many to believe that it was betrayal for those who launched her. After her separation from Rakshit in 2017, the actor went on to claim that he was in touch with his ex. He further added that she had a big dream in the world of cinema.

Rashmika Mandanna, in an interview with The Times Of India, revealed that she needs her partner at every phase of her life. She added that for her kindness and respect is really important in a relationship. She was quoted as saying:

"My partner. I need my partner in every phase of my life. I need that comfort, security, and empathy. My most important thing in a relationship is definitely kindness, but also respect. When you mutually respect one another, genuinely care, and are responsible for one another... it all adds up."

Vijay and Rashmika's haldi ceremony

On February 25, 2026, Rashmika's haldi ceremony was performed. It seems like it is going to be a gala event as Vijay and Rashmika have taken to their Instagram handle and posted glimpses from the same. Vijay shared a cute glimpse of the decor, which was handmade flowers, and one of them revealed Rashmika's nickname, 'Rushie', and another one had Vijay's name on it.

In another picture, we can see a big pool kind of setup with two wooden stools, where countless rose petals were kept, which accentuated the haldi feel. The decoration has been planned and executed by RVR Eventz Design, and they did an amazing job of giving it a personal touch. As per a report by Zoom, Vijay and Rashmika curated special gifts for their guests. The room had cute baskets that featured a selection of food and treats, which the couple loves. The source was quoted as saying:

"The room baskets feature a selection of food and treats personally loved by Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, adding a warm and intimate touch to the hospitality."
