Popular TV host and actor, Ratan Pratap, has reportedly been admitted to a hospital after falling ill during his recent travels. Ratan, who has hosted a variety of reality shows, including India Dance Week, has reportedly been suffering from Typhoid. Ratan did create a household name for himself, and back in 2019, he was also awarded the 'Best Celebrity Anchor 2019'. However, at the moment, Ratan's health is not up to the mark.
According to pap, Pallav Paliwal, Ratan has been admitted to a private hospital after being diagnosed with Typhoid. Reportedly, when Ratan's medical reports were done, the diagnosis of Typhoid came to notice. Reports state that his team confirmed Ratan receiving medical care, but there has been no official statement on any of his social media feeds. Reports allege that Ratan's team shared that he is responding well to the treatment after falling ill.
For the uninitiated, Typhoid Fever is a bacterial infection of serious nature, caused by Salmonella Typhi. The bacteria are transmitted via food or water. Ratan's symptoms of the alleged Typhoid Fever were not known, but common signs include stomach pain, high fever, nausea, headache and sometimes even rash. Typhoid Fever usually gets cured with antibiotics, but it seems like Ratan's case was severe, and so he was admitted to the hospital. According to reports on social media, Ratan, who is currently in a private hospital, is progressing well, and the road to recovery is surely on track. Typhoid Fever, at times, can also be life-threatening.
When COVID-19 broke out in India, hell broke loose, and Ratan was one of the many stars who had contracted the deadly virus. Reportedly, a paparazzi photographer had posted a snap of him entering a hospital, and people started speculating on the internet about his health. Ratan had put rest to all the hospital-related rumours and clarified that he had never been admitted to the hospital. Ratan shared:
"I was never hospitalised. I went to the hospital for a couple of tests. I was so in my zone at the time that I did not even realise there were paps outside the main gate of the hospital. I was just going about my business and did not check my social media at all for a few days. My friends informed me later that such and such was being reported online about my health. I did clarify then on my Instagram story that I wasn’t admitted."
Ratan Pratap later even shared that people had thought he had passed away because of COVID-19, as everyone started commenting, 'Rest In Peace' on his posts. He was amused to see how fast the world of social media works. However, during the time of crisis, one does not care about what is happening online, as Ratan wanted to be healthy. Sharing about his recovery journey from COVID-19, he shared:

"I was recovering at home by myself, but Dr. Abhilash Sangtani was consulting with me and monitoring my health. He’s kind of responsible for me getting better. He is a Nagpur based doctor but we were connected on the phone throughout."
