Ratna Pathak Shah, Naseeruddin Shah and Prateik Babbar starrer masterpiece, Manthan was screened at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The film was selected to be screened from the classics section and the starcast of the movie along with the makers were invited for the same. While Naseeruddin and Prateik looked dapper in their respective outfits, it was Ratna who stole the show with her uniquely drapped saree and custom made blouse.
Cannes has become a place where celebrity from all over the world assemble to celebrate films and fashion. However being iconic as she is, Ratna Pathak decided to wear her own saree to the screening of her films along with a custom tailored blouse. The actress opted for a yellow-hued saree and paired it with a dusty pink toned blouse.

The blouse featured an unique flap detailing and complemented the saree very well. For the accessories, Ratna opted for oxidised necklace and earrings. She kept her hair loose. As for Naseeruddin, the actor donned a beige hued sherwani with maroon button detailing.
Prateik Babbar debuted to the Cannes film festival this year. To pay an ode to his late mother, Prateik wore her scarf to the fest. He donned a black tuxedo and paired it with his mother's patterned silk scarf. He completed his look with a pair of sunglasses and tied his hair in a man bun. Pateik further added:
“I have the honour of representing my late mother at this historic event, which also marks my debut at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival. This moment is deeply close for me as her son, having always regarded her as one of the greatest actresses in Indian cinema history.”

It was inspired by the pioneering milk cooperative movement led by Verghese Kurien, 'Operation Flood', which transformed India from a milk-deficient country to the world's biggest milk producer. It further cultivated and is credited for creating the billion-dollar brand, Amul.
