Rekha is the wife of late billionaire investor, Rakesh Jhunjhwala, who was also renowned for being 'India's Warren Buffett', courtesy of his legacy as a stock broker. The three most valuable listed holdings in the portfolio were Titan, Canara Bank, Valor Estate, NCC, Tata Motors, Crisil Limited, Federal Bank Limited, Geojit Financial Services Limited, Star Health, Ailled Insurance Company, and Jubilant Pharmova Limited. According to Forbes, Rekha Jhunjhunwala is the 28th richest person in India, while she sits in 298th place on the list of the world's richest people.
Even before the demise of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, the late investor's wife, Rekha Jhunjhwala was renowned for not making many public appearances. The doting wife always preferred living far from the media spotlight. However, after Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's demise, she started making more public appearances, leading her husband's legacy to take it even higher. We saw a glimpse of the same in December 2024, when Rekha Jhunjhunwala-backed company, Inventurus Knowledge's stock witnessed a gain of 47.54 percent.
For the uninitiated, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and Rekha Jhunjhunwala got married in 1987. Despite being one of the biggest names in India's business space, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala always kept his personal life away from the media glare. However, it was on June 30, 2004, when Rakesh and Rekha embraced parenthood for the first time after she gave birth to a daughter, Nishtha. After some years, the couple welcomed two more kids as Rekha gave birth to twin sons, Aryamaan and Aryaveer.
Rekha Jhunjhunwala was born in September 1963, and little is known about her parents and family background. According to a report in Startup Talky, Rekha earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Mumbai.
