It was back then only when Sara Khan took to her social media and shared a photo with Rishabh, wherein she was seen flaunting her sindoor, leading people to think that the couple was married. After the photo went viral, it made headlines until Sara came forward to deny the buzz.

In an interview with Daily Bhaskar, Sara revealed that she was not married to Rishabh and that the photo was from her shooting, where she forgot to remove her sindoor. She also added that, in the caption, she mentioned she would get married soon, so people should just drop the topic of her marriage. Sara Khan said:

"That day, I came back from a photo shoot; changed into my normal costume and unfortunately forgot to remove the sindoor which I had applied for the photo shoot. I and Rishabh just clicked a picture and posted without realizing that sindoor is still there on my head. I was in Dubai when I started getting calls about the marriage news. It was really shocking."

For the unversed, Sara Khan confirmed dating Rishabh Tandon in the past, and a source close to them mentioned earlier that the duo had been serious and comfortable with each other. The source also mentioned that the duo would get married eventually. Following this, a breakup buzz between the duo emerged, which Sara initially denied.

However, in an interview with the Hindustan Times in 2016, Sara said that she was single, thereby confirming her breakup. The reason for Sara and Rishbh's breakup could never be known. Talking about the present-day scenario, Rishabh was married to his Russian lady love, Olesya Nedobegova. The duo met in October 2022 and got married one year later in 2023. On the other hand, Sara Khan got married recently to Krish Pathak, the son of Indian actor Sunil Lahri.
