Sai Tamhankar Opens Up On Her Post Divorce Party With Amey Gosavi, 'We Drank..'

Actress, Sai Tamhankar is best known for her acting chops in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Malayalam movies. The actress wears her opinions on her sleeves and never shied away from expressing them. She is always in the limelight for her professional or personal life. It was in 2015 when the actress divorced her ex-husband, Amey Gosavi, back in 2015 and lately shared the divorce party she had with her friends.

Sai Tamhankar opens up on her experience of getting divorce from the court

During a recent interaction with host, Siddhaarth Aalambayan for the show, The Male Feminist, Sai shared that when one goes to the court and signs on the document, the feeling is different. They shout both your names and the shocking thing is that they addressed her as 'Sai Tamhankar Gosavi', as that was her name on the papers.

 "Maine apna naam change nai kara tha lekin waha pe Sai Tamhankar Gosavi aise karke address karte hai. Agar aap divorce file karne jare hoh toh aapka shadi wala naam hi lete hai woh log."

Sai Tamhankar shares about her divorce party

When she and Amey's divorce formalities ended, they felt weird, so they went to grab a couple of drinks. They spoke about life and cried their hearts out and then a few of their good and close friends called to check on them. Sai shared that they did not even realise when they were drunk. In her words:

"Uske baad we wanted to chill out so went for a couple of drinks. Waha pe sab rona dhona, pyaar bhari baatein, life advices share ki gayi aur uske baad few close friends wanted to check on us both. When our friends called one by one, we told them that we were here so suddenly there were 9-10 people around us and we drank and had a great time."

Sai Tamhankar and Amey Gosavi's marriage

The actress married Amey in 2013, however, in 2 years, they parted ways. The couple reportedly kept contact, and Sai, in an earlier interview with News 18, shared that she has kept contact with her ex-husband. She also meets him. The duo also had tattoos of their wedding date and the day when Sai's ex-husband, Amey, had proposed to the actress. Reportedly, Sai still has those tattoos, and she is not ashamed.

When Sai Tamhankar revealed her divorce reason from Amey Gosavi

Sai had once appeared on Zee Marathi show, Kanala Khada. During that time, actor, Sanjay Mone had asked her about her divorce party. She revealed that she and Amey had got married but then they had separated. Sai had explained:

"He is a very good boy. I mean, his mind is the most beautiful mind of any person I have ever experienced. I will always have a special place for him. But I think, I believe that if something does not work out for us, there is no point in living by blaming each other. It is of no use. Every person has the right to be happy in his life.'
