Saif Ali Khan Buys 'Second Home' In Qatar, Months After The Knife Attack, Says, 'It's Very Safe...'

Saif Ali Khan recently revealed that he has invested in a luxurious property at The St Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl, Doha, Qatar. The actor appeared at a press conference hosted by Alfradan Group, where he opened up about what drew him towards the extravagant property.

Saif Ali Khan opened up about his decision to buy a residence in Qatar

Saif Ali Khan not only praised Qatar for its safety, beauty, and proximity to India, but also commented on how it was the perfect holiday home. During the conversation, he spoke about how the country made him feel safe and at home, while not being too far away from his homeland, India. The actor further stated how great he felt about living at the property and was quoted as saying:

"Think of a holiday home or a second home. There are a few things that come to mind. One is that it’s not very far away and it’s easily accessible. Additionally, the most important thing is that it’s very safe and it feels very good to be there. And the concept of an island within an island is also very luxurious and beautiful, and it’s just a really lovely place to live. And the feeling you get when you’re there is the important thing, and the views, and the food, and the kind of lifestyle, and the pace of living, and these are a few of the things that led to my decision."

Saif Ali Khan revealed what prompted him to buy a house in Doha

During the same conversation, Saif Ali Khan referred to Doha as 'home away from home'. He revealed that he was visiting for work purposes when he lived on the property and thought it was a fabulous blend of privacy and luxury. He added that he found the property extremely peaceful and was looking forward to bringing his family, especially Taimur and Jeh, to his new estate. He stated:

"I had gone there to do some work, and I was shooting for something, and I stayed at the property, and I thought it was amazing, and there was something about the mixture of privacy and luxury that I really liked. And again, it was things like food and the way the menu was curated, as well as various other aspects. In a nutshell, it literally felt like home away from home, which made it very easy. The main thing really is that it's peaceful and secluded if that's the kind of thing you are looking for."

Saif Ali Khan stabbing incident 

It was on January 16, 2025, when Saif Ali Khan was stabbed in the wee hours in the safety of his own home. The accused, Shehzad, had allegedly entered the house in an attempted robbery. However, Saif came face to face with the actor and suffered several injuries, including damage to his thoracic spine and other body parts. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he was treated for five days before being discharged.

About Saif Ali Khan's upcoming film, Jewel Thief

Saif Ali Khan will soon be seen in his upcoming thriller, Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, which is set to be released on Netflix on April 25, 2025. Along with Saif Ali Khan, the film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta. The teaser for the film was released in February 2025, offering fans a glimpse into the movie's plot, which showcased Saif and Jaideep's characters joining forces to steal the coveted African Red Sun diamond. Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal direct the heist drama.
