Salma Agha made her acting debut in Hindi cinema with the film, Nikaah, opposite Raj Babbar. The film was directed by BR Chopra, who was mesmerised by her singing skills. Apart from her screen presence and acting skills, Salma Agha also sang the iconic song, Dil Ke Armaan Aansuon Mein Bah Gaye, for the film, Nikaah. The song became a massive hit in India and neighboring countries. For the uninitiated, Salma Agha made her debut as a singer a year earlier, in 1981, in the film, Jwala Daku.
In the following years, Salma Agha appeared in a series of successful films. Salma has worked not just in Hindi cinema but also in Lollywood (Pakistani film industry). Some of the popular movies of Salma's acting career include Bobby, Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki, Salma, Bazar-e-Husn, Oonche Log, Jungle Ki Beti, Pati Patni Aur Tawaif, Cobra, Hijrat, Phoolan Devi, and many more.

Salma Agha was born on October 29, 1954, in Pakistan's Karachi. While her father, Liaqat Gul Tajik was a trader who used to trade in precious stones and antiques, her mother, Nasreen belonged to a famous family. For the uninitiated, Nasreen was the daughter of Rafiq Ghaznavi, who was one of the most famous Pashtun musicians of his time, and Anwari Bari Begum, who was a famous actress of the '30s. However, Rafiq and Anwari Bari parted ways after the birth of their daughter, Nasreen.
After giving Rafiq Ghaznavi a divorce, Anwari Bari Begum got married to famous businessman Jugal Kishore Mehra. For the uninitiated, Jugal Kishore Mehra was the maternal uncle of Raj Kapoor, which made Anwari Bari a part of the Kapoor family. Jugal Kishore Mehra and Raj Kapoor's mother, Ramsarni Mehra Kapoor, were siblings, which made his stepdaughter, Nasreen, and granddaughter, Salma Agha, a part of the Kapoor family.
Almost everyone is aware of Salma Agha's professional life, but it is her personal life that has remained in the shadows for a long period of time. The reason behind it is the unfortunate things that kept on happening in her love life. Most of the time in her acting career, when Salma was doing impactful roles in Hindi cinema, she fell in love multiple times and always prioritised her relationships over her career.
Salma Agha always put relationships above her acting career, which is why she couldn't become one of the finest actresses of her era, despite being an exceptional singer and talented actress. What's even more hurting is that despite being in a serious relationship on four occasions, she is still living a lonely life at the age of 67. So, without further ado, let's talk about Salma's four relationships and two divorces.
After the massive success of Nikaah, Salma Agha became an overnight sensation in India. Her exceptional acting and singing performances in the film caught the attention of a renowned New York-based businessman, Mehmood Sipra. The couple reportedly dated for some years and decided to get married. However, when the talks of marriage started getting serious, the couple parted ways due to some irreconcilable issues.

It was a heartbreaking phase for Salma, as she had sacrificed her promising acting career while dating Mehmood, and eventually, everything went in vain. After her breakup with Mehmood, Salma once again kick-started her journey in Hindi cinema but couldn't replicate the magic she had when she made her acting debut with Nikaah.
Salma Agha gave love another chance and fell in love with famous Pakistani actor, Javed Sheikh, who also worked in Hindi cinema. After dating for some time, Salma and Javed reportedly got married in the 1980s, and after spending just three years together, they called it off.
The couple parted ways after a series of never-ending fights crept into their happy married life. Years after his divorce from Salma, once in an old interview with a news portal, Javed revealed that Salma was quite insecure and told him not to work opposite Rekha in Khoon Bhari Maang. He further added that he was also forcefully removed from the film, Bangkok Kay Chor, due to his wife, Salma Agha.
After her failed marriage to Javed Sheikh, Salma Agha met iconic squash player, Rehmat Khan. According to a report in News 18, Salma and Rehmat got married in 1989, and they welcomed two children, Sasha Agha and Ali Agha Khan. Just when it looked like Salma finally found solace in the arms of Rehmat Khan, the couple parted ways in 2010. For the uninitiated, while Sasha works as a singer and actress in Bollywood, Ali Agha is also a part of the Indian film industry.
Famous Dubai-based businessman, Manzar Shah is the one, who restored Salma Agha's faith in love once again. The duo got married in 2011, but once again, after being together for some years, they are reportedly living separately. Although it is not known whether they're officially divorced or not, but as per multiple reports, Salma isn't living with her third husband, Manzar Shah.
It is indeed heartbreaking to see Salma Agha being unlucky in love with four different people. The iconic actress is often spotted appearing in reality shows and leading the headlines due to her children, Sasha and Ali's respective work in the film industry.
