Salman Khan has finally made his podcast debut after a long wait with his appearance on his nephew, Arhaan Khan's podcast, Dumb Biryani. During this segment, Arhaan is seen indulging in a lengthy conversation with Salman. The former was accompanied by his friends, Dev Raiyani and Arush Sharma. They spoke on a spectrum of topics, including friendship and the importance of being surrounded by good people.
During his appearance on Arhaan Khan's podcast, Salman Khan shared about the bond he shares with his friends. He revealed that he has friends who have been there with him for years. The actor added that while he doesn't see them often, their bond has remained the same. He stated:
"I have many friends who are still with me after all these years. This is what you need to achieve with your friends. I don’t see them very often, but whenever we meet, our bond remains the same. We connect on the same page. We are all in touch, whenever we need something."
In the same conversation, Salman recalled an anecdote from his initial days in the entertainment industry. He shared how he was with his friend in Manali and liked something. However, he couldn't buy it since he didn't have the money, but his friend lent him Rs. 15,000 so he could purchase it. He stated:
"There is a friend of mine from the Maine Pyaar Kiya days. When I was doing Sanam Bewafa, he gave me Rs 15,000. Back then Rs 15,000 was a huge amount. We were in Manali and we were shopping, I liked something but I didn’t have the money, so he gave it to me. We have been friends ever since."
Salman continued the conversation and further shared how real friends don't expect anything in return. He added that friends come and go, but if there are friends who always want something in return, they are not worth keeping around. He cited an example of his photographer friend who, despite having known each other for so long, had not worked together on a project. He stated that there should be no needs, wants, demands and selfishness in friendships.
In the same conversation, Salman stressed the importance of letting go. He revealed that once you have given someone the chance to change, they don't let them go. However, he added that one should still remain cordial whenever they meet as one has to complete their own journey. He further revealed how a friend of his fooled him for twenty years and stated:
