A few days ago, Rana arranged a pre-release event in Hyderabad, which was attended by Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In a video that made rounds on social media, Samantha could be seen joining Naga Chaitanya's cousin, Rana on stage, and they shared a warm hug, while Ek Hazaro Me Meri Behna Hai played in the background.

Nagarjuna filed two defamation cases for the politician and even reacted as the latter only apologised to Samantha after she reacted to the claims and not to Naga Chaitanya and his family. Netizens also hit back at Chaitanya as he skipped to mention Samantha's name on his post and tagged her as an 'Ex-spouse'. This didn't sit well with Samantha's fans, and they blasted Chaitanya.
