Aditi Rao Hydari has won the hearts of netizens with her sizzling moves in a clip from Heeramandi's song, Saiyaan Hatto Jaao. For the unversed, Aditi played the role of 'Bibbojaan', in SLB's series, Heeramandi, and she has been receiving love for the same. Moreover, a clip featuring a firey walk is all over the internet, and netizens couldn't help but gush over the same. While some named it the 'Swan Walk', others called it the 'Gajagamini Walk'. Amid this craze, Aditi talked about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's involvement in the making of this song and particularly the walk.

Aditi Rao Hydari reveals how much Sanjay Leela Bhansali was involved while her swan walk was being filmed

Talking to Connect Cine, Aditi Rao Hydari revealed how Sanjay Leela Bhansali was involved during the filming of this song and the viral moment of her swan walk, which has taken over the internet. For the unversed, the song was choreographed by Kruti Mahesh. Talking about the same, Aditi thanked her fans for loving her craft and added that it was a little tukda from thumri. Aditi added that SLB mentioned that the walk is extremely important. She also mentioned that SLB was involved while the shooting was going on. Sharing how much knowledge the director has, Aditi added:

"I am thanking everybody. That walk, just that little tukda from thumri, it is all over the internet. I really didn’t expect that and Sanjay sir did say, ‘Ye chal bahut important hai.’ He has so much knowledge so he was very much involved in the making of the song.”

In the same interview, Aditi Rao Hydari shared that although, Kruti Mahesh was choreographing the song, it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali who kept his focus on each nuance, including how the dupatta would fall, how the waist would move and how the the ‘chan’ sound could be heard. Aditi can be quoted as saying:

"Kruti Mahesh was there choreographing but he was completely involved in every detail of the choreography and he was very particular about this walk and how it should happen, how will the dupatta fall, how will the waist move, exactly when will the ‘chan’ sound will be heard…it was quite incredible.”

Why Aditi Rao Hydari's 'Gajagamini Walk' or 'Swan Walk' has been receiving much love?

Aditi Rao Hydari, in a clip from Heeramandi, could be seen performing while donning an exquisite lehenga. In the video, her walk grabbed all the attention, including the waist movements and the way she played with her dupatta. In the clip, Aditi donned a classy dark-hued embroidered choli and a zardosi ghagra. Braided hair adorned with accessories, a nath, and soft makeup added a regal touch to 'Bibbojaan's look.

Netizens even have been getting deja vu of two iconic actresses, Madhubala and Madhuri Dixit, who have earlier aced in the same 'Gajagamini Walk' sequence. While Madhubala did this walk for a song in the movie, Mughal-E-Azam, Madhuri showed the same walk in a 2000 film, Gaja Gamini. In Sanskrit, 'Gajagamini' stands for one with the gait of an elephant. Thus, the Gajagamini walk refers to a kind of walk that is majestic and dignified. It also means strength, grace, and feminity.
