Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Niece, Sharmin Segal Of 'Heeramandi' Is Pregnant With Her First Child?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece, Sharmin Segal, who rose to stardom with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, is all set to give a good news. Yes, according to the latest buzz, Sharmin is expecting her first child. However, neither the actress nor her husband, Aman Mehta, has confirmed the news.

On April 24, 2025, veteran journalist, Vikey Lalwani took to his Instagram and shared the news of Sharmin's pregnancy. Not only this, he also claimed that Sharmin is due anytime soon. For those who don't know, Sharmin has moved to Ahmedabad post her marriage with Aman Mehta. However, she is back to Mumbai for her delivery. The journalist wrote:

“Good news is hard knocking on the doors of Bhansali and Segal household. Sharmin is due anytime soon."

Aman and Sharmin got married in November 2023. The star husband is an Executive Director at Torrent Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Torrent Group. The firm was established in 1959 by U.N. Mehta. Its headquarters are in Ahmedabad, and the MNC is presently overseen by Aman's father, Samir Mehta, and his brother, Sudhir Mehta.

Torrent Group has sister firms such as Torrent Pharma, Torrent Power, Torrent Cables, Torrent Gas and Tarrent Diagnostics. Aman, who has been the director at Torrent Pharma since 2022, has been managing the business sector in India and the rest of the world. He Aman Mehta also holds a directorial position at Torrent Investments.

Aman Mehta's father, Samir Mehta, has a net worth of around USD 6.44 billion, which, when converted into INR, turns out to be Rs. 53,800 crores. A report by Forbes claimed that Torrent Pharma's revenue is around USD 4.6 billion. The father-son duo is involved in the family business's pharmaceutical chain.

For the unversed, Sharmin Segal was born in 1995, and hails from a renowned filmy family. Her father, Deepak Segal is the content head at Applause Entertainment, a famous production company. On the other hand, her mother, Bela Segal, is a renowned film editor who has worked on her elder brother, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's, famous films, including Khamoshi, Devdas, and Black, among many others.

Coming to Sharmin, she rose to fame with her stint in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Netflix series, Heeramandi. While some were left mesmerised by the acting of the entire cast, others were in awe of their elaborate costumes and real jewellery worth lakhs in the series. However, it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece, Sharmin Segal, who received mixed reactions. People judged her acting and the way she showed her character's trauma, it went through in the film. But some made fun of her acting, and brutally trolled her. All and all, Sharmin was able to get herself noticed amidst the huge star cast.
