Sara Ali Khan is quite busy these days and has been hustling from one project to another for some time now. After making her grand debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, she dived headlong into packed schedules of promotions for her upcoming film, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, starring Vicky Kaushal opposite her. And now, right ahead of her film’s slated to release, Sara took out time to visit the ancient Mahakaal Temple in Ujjain to seek Almighty’s blessings for her new film.
On May 31, 2023, Sara Ali Khan jetted off to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, where she visited the famous Mahakaal Temple to seek blessings for her upcoming plethora of work. For the day, she donned a simple avatar in a pink-hued saree and draped the pallu on her head. In the many pictures and videos round on the internet from Sara’s visit, she can be spotted offering her prayers to the deity, post which she sat down for a quick meditation.

As soon as pictures and videos from Sara’s visit to the temple made rounds on the internet, the actress became a target of trolls who slammed her for making a religious trip appear like a publicity stunt. Moreover, a certain section of netizens slammed the temple authorities for allowing Sara to enter the premises of a Hindu temple despite being from a different religious faith. A few others also took a jibe at Sara’s speculated relationship with cricketer, Shubman Gill and mentioned that she might have gone to seek blessings on his behalf.

Besides her busy professional life, Sara is close to her family and always spends quality time with them. However, her grandmother, Sharmila Tagore, holds a special place in her life since she draws massive inspiration from her. In one of her earlier interviews, Sara revealed how she is entitled to inherit her grandmother, Sharmila’s heirloom chaandbalas which simply speak everything regal and beautiful. Spilling beans on the same, she mentioned:
“A pair of chandbalas holds a significant family legacy, passed down from my grandmother, gifted by her mother-in-law, then inherited by my mother, and now destined to be passed on to Ibrahim’s future wife. However, I possess a written declaration from my grandfather stating that these earrings belong to me. I am captivated by their beauty and charm, and my desire to possess them extends to my unwavering attention and safekeeping, as they have been bestowed upon me.”

Sara Ali Khan shares the most special bond with her baby brother, Ibrahim Ali Khan and often loves to share fond anecdotes of the same. For the unversed, Sara and Ibrahim are children of film actor, Saif Ali Khan and his ex-wife, Amrita Singh. In a recent interview with Film Companion post her grand Cannes debut, Sara happily acknowledged how her brother, has already marked his steps in the film world and confirmed that the latter has even wrapped up shooting for his debut film.
