Shah Rukh Khan is synonymous with impeccable acting skills on-screen and never misses a chance to drool our hearts with his power-packed performances. Moreover, the actor is known as the 'romance master', whose small gestures towards his family are truly family goals. And for the same, he also took a four-year sabbatical to spend some time with his darling wife, Gauri Khan and their kids, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRaam Khan. However, upon his family's and fans' wish to join acting again, he stepped into the film business and gave three back-to-back blockbuster movies, including Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki.
In a recent candid conversation, Shah Rukh Khan was heard addressing his four-year-long sabbatical. He mentioned how his films before he took a sabbatical were not making huge box-office numbers. Thus, he has started believing that the audiences no longer liked his movies. So, he also felt a little nervous at that time. However, mentioning his gratitude for his recent films, which made a huge success, he said:
"It's new because I have been working for 33 years and took such a big gap. Normally, you get a little nervous and you feel, 'I hope I've got the film right.' Before that, there were some of my films that didn't do well, and so I thought I'm not making good films. But I think more than my films, there was love for Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki from the people."

Following this, SRK while expressing his gratitude to fans for their love for his films, mentioned that his recent films, including Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, received love from the audience. But the love is for him and not for his films. In the same conversation, the actor also revealed why people close to him always persuaded him to work in films, and continued:
"I think this whole country and people outside this country, from India, have actually taken me to their heart more than the films and said that, 'Don’t take a break for 4 years, 2-4 months are fine.' So, I’m very thankful to all of you, to the audience, and the whole world for making me realize that what I do is right and I should keep on doing it."
After taking a four-year break, Shah returned to the big screen in January 2023 with the superhit film, Pathaan, co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. As per multiple reports, the film became one of the highest-grossing films of the year. Afterwards, SRK was also seen in an action-packed role, in Atlee Kumar’s Jawan. Although the actor has not revealed his upcoming projects, it is anticipated that he will commence shooting as a part of the movie, Tiger vs Pathaan.
