Sharjah, the capital of the Emirates of Sharjah, is shimmering brighter than ever for its 56th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show. The five-day extravagant global event is held at the Expo Centre Sharjah. The event officially opened on September 24, 2025. Sharjah’s biggest jewellery show has captured global attention, with over 500 local and international exhibitors, and over 1,800 high-profile designers, manufacturers, and industry professionals gathering to represent major global jewellery companies and brands. However, Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery’s exclusive creation became the showstopper of the global jewellery event.
The 5-day exhibition was inaugurated by H.E. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah, and H.E. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, with senior officials and diplomats in attendance. The global event was organised by Expo Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The 56th edition features 68% international exhibitors from Italy, India, Turkey, Hong Kong, Singapore, the US, Russia, Japan, China, Malaysia, and the UK, with newcomers from Australia, Myanmar, and Pakistan. Regional leading exhibitors from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Lebanon further highlight Sharjah’s key role as a global jewellery hub.
Sharjah’s biggest jewellery show, which is the 56th edition, is already leading the headlines. However, a special creation by Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery stole the spotlight. It is the 'Dubai Dress' made of pure 21-karat gold. The exclusive showcase has already made its place in the Guinness World Records as the world’s heaviest dress. The jaw-dropping masterpiece’s total weight is 10.0812 kilograms, and its worth is AED 4.6 million, equivalent to USD 1,251,000 and approximately Rs. 11 crore.
According to Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery, the exclusive piece comprises four key elements. A gold tiara weighing 398 grams, a statement necklace of 8810.60 grams, earrings of 134.1 grams, and a 'Hiyar' piece weighing 738.5 grams. Each component of 'Dubai Dress' features intricate carvings and is adorned with precious stones and jewels, making it a tribute to craftsmanship. The exclusive piece is designed to tell the story of Emirati cultural heritage, and the designers drew inspiration from its authentic traditions.
According to Mohsin Al Dhaibani, Regional Deputy Manager at Al Romaizan Gold, the special creation reflects the UAE’s vision of global excellence. Further, it reinforces Dubai’s status as a global hub for gold and jewellery. This brand is known for its eye-catching creations. In earlier editions of the event, they showcased a gold bicycle worth AED 1.5 million, equivalent to USD 408,000 and Rs. 3.40 crore.

To make the event more interesting and exciting, the organisers have arranged for grand prizes that will be handed over to the winners on the last day of the event. The exciting grand prizes include a luxurious car, Audi A3 and dazzling luxury gold and diamond jewellery sets. The names of the winners will be revealed at the end of the exhibition, to keep the thrill alive throughout the 5-day event. The event is open to everyone with free entry, from 1 pm to 10 pm on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and from 3 pm to 10 pm on Friday.
