Do You Know SRK And Salman Khan Fled A Show Overnight? Sheeba Akashdeep Says, 'We All Ran'

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are among the biggest names in the Hindi film industry. They both began working in cinema around the early '90s in the film and are still going strong with a massive fan base who keeps counting the days to watch them on the big screen again. Over the years, the film industry has also undergone many changes, but in the '90s, the underworld in Mumbai and nearby countries tried hard to seep into Bollywood. In a recent interview, actress, Sheeba Akashdeep recalled once she, SRK, Salman and more had to flee a show from Canada due to an underworld threat.

When Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan ran to flee from a show in Canada 

Sheeba Akashdeep was a well-known actress in the early '90s and worked alongside actors like Salman, Akshay, Shammi Kapoor and more. Recently, she sat down for an interview with Pinkvilla and shared interesting anecdotes from her career. During the conversation, she was asked about witnessing any major incident involving the underworld in the film Industry during those years. Refusing the same, Sheeba said: 

“No, not till my time toh nahi tha, tab tak fizzle out ho gaya. I had stopped working actively by the time this became a big thing. The Dubai connection. Imagine main Dubai se aayi thi but koi Dubai connection nahi tha.”

However, she once came close to a serious incident related to the underworld. Sheeba shared that she once hosted a show in Canada. The Moranis organised it and a big ensemble of popular actors, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and more, were going to perform at the event. However, they suddenly received a call for someone who asked for the actors to come to perform at their show. Consequently, the organisers immediately arranged for everyone, including SRK and Salman, to leave at midnight. Without revealing the name of the caller, Sheeba said: 

“Aadhi raat ko koi call aya tha koi XYZ is calling to do a show. Raat ko Moranis made all of the actors, all of us sit in a bus and leave. We all ran to the city, and we came back to America. I think the main people they wanted were the main heroes, but the Moranis packed us up on a bus overnight and bhagaowed us. It was very scary.”

In the same interview, Sheeba Akashdeep shared that she met Akshay Kumar during the shooting of their 1992 film, Mr. Bond. They soon became friends and developed feelings for each other. Sharing how they bonded over common interests, the actress mentioned: 

“When you are young and working in close proximity, ho jata hai ishq (you fall in love). Both fitness-crazy people… And family friends. My nani and his mom would play cards together.”

Sheeba Akashdeep made her debut in showbiz with Tamil film, Athisaya Piravi in 1990. She went on to work in TV shows and films like Pyaar Ka Saaya, Mr Bond, Suryavanshi, Miss 420, Meri Partigya and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Haasil, and Naagin 6, among others. She is married to filmmaker, Akashdeep Sabir and was last seen in Sonu Sood starrer, Fateh.
