Shefali Jariwala's Demise, Her 'Rakhi' Brother, Hindustani Bhau Breaks Down, 'Phone Na'..

Kaanta Laga girl, Shefali Jariwala, in a shocking turn of events, passed away on June 27, 2025, in Mumbai. The actress was 42 and had left behind her husband, Parag Tyagi, her dog, Simba and her grieving family members. Shefali's Rakhi brother was Hindustani Bhau, a.k.a. Vikas Fhatak. He was seen at Cooper Hospital, Mumbai, where Shefali's body was taken for post-mortem. Hindustani Bhau broke down as he spoke to the press outside the hospital and revealed fond memories with her.

For the unversed, it was inside the sets of Salman Khan hosted controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 13 in 2019, that Hindustani Bhau met Shefali. He went to see his deceased sister, Shefali, one last time at Cooper Hospital, and it was there that he broke up. He proudly said that the actress was his sister and remembered how she used to call him during Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Festival and also during Bhau Beej time. In his words:

"Bura hua. Soch bhi nai sakte thei ki aisa hoga. Joh saal mei meko 2-3 baar meko bahut subah se leke shaam tak joh phone bajte thei. Ek toh Raksha Bandhan ke time, Ganpati Bappa ke time aur ek Bhau Beej ke time,bass mobile mei toh bass naam hai uska, phone nai bajega. Behen thi woh meri."

Hindustani Bhau could not control his tears; his voice choked as he spoke to the press about his late sister, Shefali. He was reminded of the haunting silence that now stays with him after the demise of Shefali.

Hindustani Bhau and Shefali Jariwala's sibling bond

When Hindustani Bhau and Shefali were in the Bigg Boss 13 house, their bond became strong. Even on the sets of the show, she had tied him Rakhi and celebrated a sibling-like union that was more than just the camera. Their relationship was marked by a lot of respect and mutual understanding, and they shared many fond memories. Hindustani Bhau is shattered by the loss of Shefali. Even after the Bigg Boss house, both of them continued to keep their bond with each other. In 2024, Shefali last tied Rakhi to Hindustani Bhau, did his tilak while he gave her a gold ring. She captioned the video as:

"Together, we can conquer the world. Happy Raksha Bandhan ! @hindustanibhaukingsarkar I met him in Bigg boss and the connection was instant. I always wished to god for years to give me a brother and thanks to BB bhau came to my life. He is my father figure. Always protecting me , giving me the right advice. He always watches my back and loves me more than my blood brother would ever do."

Shefali Jariwala's demise

Shefali's family has been asking for privacy outside their house as they grapple through the tough times. Initial reports were doing the rounds that the actress had passed away due to a cardiac arrest. The Mumbai Police stated that the actress was found dead in her Mumbai apartment. An official cause of Shefali's death has not yet been released. Mumbai's Forensic Department was also present at her building for further investigation. The actress married Parag Tyagi in 2014, who is also an actor. The couple had dated for four years before tying the knot. They do not have any children.
