There have been many conjectures about Bollywood’s power couple, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s relationship. The former Miss World Aishwarya married the handsome Bachchan lad in 2007 after the duo fell in love during the shooting of Dhoom 2 and Umrao Jaan. The couple embraced parenthood with the arrival of their little munchkin, Aaradhya Bachchan, in 2011.
But for the past few months, there have been rumours about trouble in Abhishek and Aishwarya’s paradise. From the Bachchan clan’s reluctance to pose with Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan posting a dry birthday post on her 50th birthday to the reports of the actress moving out of the Bachchan family home, the speculations are endless.

The possible reason for the tension between the couple is that Aishwarya reportedly does not get along with Jaya Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan. Rumour mills have it that Shweta is not too fond of her sister-in-law, Aishwarya, and considers her dominating. However, amid all the facade, we stumble upon some rare and unseen glimpses of Shweta showering her love on Aishwarya.
The pictures in question were taken from Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s wedding reception. In the pictures, Shweta, dressed in a white pantsuit, was seen tightly hugging Aishwarya from the back. The two were seen having a gala time as they danced. On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan adorably looked at Shweta and Aishwarya’s bond.

During her stint in the episode, Shweta Bachchan revealed the qualities of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which she loved, hated and tolerated. Shweta revealed that she loves that Aishwarya is a self-made, strong woman and a fantastic mother. However, the doting nanad added that she tolerates Aishwarya's time management. However, revealing what she hates about her sister-in-law, Shweta said:
“I hate that she takes forever to return phone calls and messages. I tolerate her time management.”
In 2007, when Jaya Bachchan appeared on the talk show, Koffee With Karan, she revealed a beautiful anecdote from her life. She mentioned how a void in her and Amitabh Bachchan's life was created when their daughter, Shweta Bachchan, was married off. And the vacuum was filled with the arrival of their bahu, Aishwarya Rai. Jaya further mentioned that every time her husband would see their daughter-in-law, his eyes would light up. In her words:
“Amitji, the minute he sees her (Aishwarya), it’s like he’s looking at Shweta coming home. His eyes light up. She’ll fill the vacuum that Shweta left. We have never been able to adjust that Shweta is not in the family, she is out and she is not a Bachchan. It’s tough.”
