Bollywood actor, Sohail Khan and fashion designer, Seema Sajdeh got married in 1998. However, after 24 years of marriage, they parted ways in 2022. Since their divorce, the couple has been co-parenting their sons, Nirvaan and Yohan. For the uninitiated, Seema and Sohail welcomed Yohan through surrogacy in 2011. Now that the baby boy turned a year older, his parents reunited for a simple cake-cutting ceremony, and Sohail shared a video from the same.
Ex-couple, Sohail Khan and Seema Sajdeh were recently spotted together celebrating their son, Yohan's birthday. The cake-cutting ceremony took place after a football match between Yohan and his friends. Thus, it was also attended by Yohan's brother, Nirvaan, Shah Rukh Khan's son, AbRam Khan, and Amrita Arora's son, among others. Post-celebration, Sohail took to his IG handle and shared the video from his son's cake-cutting ceremony.

In the video, while the little boys were seen wearing casual clothes and sweaty after the match, it seemed Sohail also enjoyed the kids' play session super enthusiastically. The actor was wearing a blue-hued T-shirt teamed with black joggers. On the other hand, Seema flaunted her no-makeup look in a nude green top teamed with denim pants. Sharing the video, Sohail wrote:
"Happy belated birthday my Yoda, every year on your birthday’s football match we have too much fun, you’ll make me feel younger, but injure me too, it’s Sohail khan reporting with a limp from the set in hyd."

Earlier, in a podcast with Shivani Pau, Seema Sajdeh was asked about her decision to end her marriage with Sohail Khan. To this, the fashion designer mentioned that she doesn't want to blame it on her ex-husband. She said that during that time, the situation had become such that she had to choose one from her marriage and son. Revealing that her son, Nirvaan was going down a path that scared her, she stated:
"Why should I blame him, it suited both of us. Our son Nirvan was at that age where he didn’t want it but there came a time when I had to choose between my marriage and my son. My son was going down a path that I was very scared of. One morning I woke up and realised that either I focus all my energies on saving this marriage, or my son. That’s when I decided and chose him.”

At that time, speculations were rife that Seema and Sohail's divorce was due to the involvement of any third person in their relationship. In the same interaction, Seema dismissed such rumours and mentioned that it was their mutual decision for the well-being of their kids. Seema shared:
"I made a choice. When two people are in a situation where both of them are not happy, when there is constant fighting, the fallout is always the kids. You don’t realise that in that phase of your life, time passes so quickly, kids grow up quicky, you don’t realise when you have done damaged there (on the kids). The kids are collateral damage. So, it was a conscious decision for him. Honestly, divorce is a piece of paper. We lived separately for quite a few years and it was fine. Nirvan was going to school, he had many conversations with me, then he went to the university and said, ‘Mumma I am ok now, you can go ahead.’ That’s when I decided that ok now is the time I can get divorced. It was just paperwork."
