Shah Rukh Khan's fans cannot stop gushing over his new fiery look as a 'mafiya'. SRK turned 60 on November 2, 2025, and, as the biggest surprise, the teaser for his next film, King, was released. Well, we cannot stop talking about 'King' Khan since then, as not only did the teaser break the internet, but the actor's new look left people gasping for breath, not even exaggerating. From dialogue to action to card plays, SRK did it again, and how! King will be in theatres in 2026, and the release date hasn't been announced yet. While the actor's salt-and-pepper hair became the talk of the town, let's take a look at the man behind the style: SRK's hairstylist for the movie, Raaj Gupta.
In the teaser, we could see Shah Rukh Khan as a mafia, who says he is defamed in 100 countries and has committed 1000 crimes, and his first look in that yellow shirt and salt-and-pepper hair with black glasses just left us rewatching the one-and-a-half-minute teaser over and over again. As per IMDb, the man who was behind his hairstyle for King, was none other than Raaj Gupta, while his makeup artist for the film was Arun Indulkar.

Other famous hairstylists are also included in this film, including Aalim Hakim and Gabriel Georgiou, who, according to IMDb, styled the antagonist Abhishek Bachchan and the lead Deepika Padukone, respectively. Well, at this moment, it's SRK who is leading all the headlines with his acting skills and his fiery look.

Shah Rukh Khan went bald for his movie Jawaan, and it caused a clamour back then, but not like this time, when he, for the first time, opted for salt-and-pepper hair. Well, his hairstylist, Raaj Gupta, took to his social media and dropped the teaser of King. Talking about Raaj, he has been in the industry since 2006, and he has worked with Shah Rukh in several movies, be it in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi or Chennai Express.

Raaj started his career as a BPO employee, but he didn't feel satisfied, as he stated on the FFcous blog in 2013. Now, he is a well-known celebrity hairstylist and an entrepreneur. He has more than 20K followers on IG and has worked with several big Bollywood celebrities. Well, it was over a cup of coffee with a friend while discussing career options, Raaj found hairstyling to be something that struck him. He found his true calling then, as he had from childhood been experimenting with his hair and would be appreciated, and even cut, his friend's hair. Talking about the same, Raaj told GQ:

"I started styling Shah Rukh on Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2007. I was working with Dilshad [Pastakia] when she made me responsible for creating and managing his look for the movie. From that day forward, there was no looking back."
Talking to GQ, Raaj mentioned that his big break came with Shah Rukh Khan's movie, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, after which, he never had to look back. He also mentioned that SRK likes to keep his hair long and prefers a minimalist approach. Well, he came back in 2013, and also mentioned that while SRK isn't much into fashion, he has a good style sense, as he knows which looks good on him and which don't. According to Raaj:
"This might be a shock to all, Shah Rukh is not into fashion, but he has a good sense of style. He knows what looks good on him and what not. Actually he carries off anything so effortlessly that it turns out to be good and iconic."

In a word, we cannot get enough of Shah Rukh Khan's fiery look. What about you?
