'Sabya Missed The Opportunity', Netizens Troll Sabyasachi For SRK's Unimpressive Met Gala 2025 Look

Shah Rukh Khan, or the 'Badshah' of Bollywood, left the fans delighted with news about him making his debut at the most significant fashion event of the year, Met Gala 2025. Several days after the rumours broke the headlines, fans were excited to know more about his look. Consequently, when Sabyasachi confirmed the news, the excitement rose to new heights. However, seems it was all not worth the wait because netizens have been left disappointed with the superstar's highly awaited look.
Shah Rukh Khan wore an all-black custom Sabyasachi couture for his Met Gala 2025 debut
Shah Rukh Khan made his grand debut at Met Gala 2025 in a custom Sabyasachi outfit comprising of a floor-length black coat over a deep V-neck shirt. He paired it with matching tailored trousers, which seemed like a blend of Indian elegance and global sophistication. The look was heavily accessorised by several chains and necklaces including a standout 'K' pendant and multiple bulky rings. He also wore a statement brooch and dark sunglasses for the Gala.
Apart from the couture, Shah Rukh Khan opted to carry a classic cane with a sculpted handle, also known as a sceptre, which symbolises the power which kind of reaffirmed his authority over the hearts of his fans. Fulfilling the expectations of fans, SRK made his signature pose on the red carpet in New York which swooned fans all the way round to India. However, seems like not everyone was impressed with the look, as several fans took to their social media handle to express their disappointment.

Shah Rukh Khan is the undisputed King of Bollywood who has charmed audiences with his powerful characters, striking looks, witty nature and chivalry. He has entertained audiences for more than three decades now and fans expected Sabyasachi to showcase all this and more through a grand yet sophisticated outfit. Several fans flooded the pictures of SRK shared by Sabyasachi to voice their feelings. One netizen took a pointed out Sabyasachi Mukherjee wasted the opportunity and penend, "Nope! Very disappointing. No Indiain aesthetics in the entire picture. Plus the big K necklace so forced fit! Such a wasted opportunity." Another fan commented, "Sabya missed the point, SRK can slay anything."
One user highlighted how Shah Rukh Khan's kingly aura was diminished by the look and wrote, "Depressing just killed the aura of SRK. There is so much in the outfit but it just doesn't align with his persona." A fan suggested how Sabyasachi could have used Devdas inspired look and commented, "You just needed to look into his Devdas look."
