Ssara Khan is one of the most popular faces in the Hindi TV industry. She is well known for her works like Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai, Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi and Sasural Simar Ka. Recently, the TV actress gained a lot of attention after she announced her marriage to Krish Pathak, son of Indian actor, Sunil Lahri. However, there were several criticisms surrounding Ssara and Krish’s interfaith marriage. Now, the Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai actress slammed the trolls and criticisms.
On October 9, 2025, Ssara Khan took to her Instagram handle and shared a video. In the clip, Ssara opened up about her and her husband, Krish Pathak. She shared how both their religions taught them to spread love. She also mentioned their families, who taught them to respect others. Sshura then thanked the positive well-wishers for showering love. For the uninitiated, the couple had a court marriage on October 6, 2025 and announced it on October 8, 2025. Ssara was quoted as saying:
"Krish and I belong to different cultures, but we believe both our religions taught us love. Our families taught us to respect others first and not to hurt anyone. We also think so, we think alike...I want to thank all the positive well-wishers for your immense love."
In the same video, Ssara slammed the trolls who criticised her interfaith marriage to Krish Pathak through negative comments. Ssara mentioned that she and Krish are simply sharing their marital status and not seeking anyone’s approval, as they have already received permission from the law and their family. Taking a dig, Ssara said:
"Please learn that any religion does not teach you to put down any other religion or beliefs or disrespect anyone. We are sharing our marital status with our well-wishers and not asking for anyone’s approval because we already have the approval of our families and the law. Any relation with my God is mine, completely mine. No one has any right to comment between me and my God. No religion teaches you to say bad words or interfere in someone’s life."
At the end of the clip, Ssara revealed her plans about social marriage. Ssara shared that she and Krish will honour their faiths with a nikah ceremony. The couple will also have a traditional pahadi shaadi ceremony. In her words:
"Respecting our cultures and traditions, we are doing both the Nikah ceremony and the traditional Pahadi shaadi with proper pheras."
