Sunjay Kapur's Widow, Priya ATTACKS Karisma Kapoor Amid Legal Battle, 'Your Husband Left You..'

The family feud in the Kapur clan has been intensifying with back-to-back claims and allegations. Sunjay Kapur passed away on June 12, 2025, and since then, a battle has been underway surrounding his Rs. 30,000 crore empire. Amid this, Karisma Kapoor's kids, Samaira and Kiaan, took the legal route and filed a lawsuit against Priya, claiming an equal share in their father's assets and accusing her of forgery. Now, Priya has hit back at Karisma Kapoor through her lawyers.

Priya Sunjay Kapur hits back at Sunjay Kapur's ex-wife, Karisma Kapoor

During a recent court hearing in the Delhi High Court, the lawyers of both parties were present. Priya's lawyers claimed that Kiaan and Samaira were previously paid Rs. 1990 crore from Sunjay Kapur's assets. The lawyers also stated that after Rs. 1990 crore was paid, the Kapoor clan changed their tone, and they are unsure how much more they would need to pay.

According to a recent report, Priya Kapur, through her lawyer, has even attacked Karisma and claimed that the former is his legal wife. Priya questioned where all this love and affection was from Karisma's side throughout all these years, and then when the latter and Sunjay Kapur were fighting a divorce battle. She also reportedly said that Sunjay had left Karisma several years ago. Priya, through her lawyer, said:

"I am his legal wife. The claims of love and affection - where was all this when they fought prolonged divorce legal battles in the Supreme Court. Your husband left you several years ago."

Karisma Kapoor got married to Sunjay Kapur in 2003, and the couple parted ways in 2016. By the time Sunjay and Karisma parted ways, they were parents to their two kids, Samaira and Kiaan. Following their split, Sunjay purchased a Rs. 14 crore bond to support his and Karisma's children, which reportedly provides them with Rs. 10 lakh per month for their maintenance. On the other hand, reportedly, Karisma was paid Rs. 70 lakh as alimony, and she was also given a luxury flat in Mumbai's Khar area.

For the uninitiated, Sunjay Kapur met Priya Kapur on a flight when both were going through a tough phase in their respective lives. Priya was married to Vikram Chatwal, and they also have a daughter, Safira. After Sunjay and Karisma were divorced, the Sona Comstar CEO married Priya. The duo welcomed a son, Azarius and Sunjay also fathered Safira.

Priya had earlier claimed that she and Sunjay wanted their kids to bond and never wanted to introduce any negativity about their parents; thus, they all wanted to bond, and all the kids are really close to each other. Talking to Kin and Kindness, Priya revealed that Sunjay's first marriage was not a conventional one, but he got two beautiful kids out of it. She stated that she loves Sunjay and Karisma's kids too much, and they are all a blended family.
