'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' Ending Explained, Why Does 'Tulsi' Reject 'Vikram's' Proposal?

The film begins with 'Sunny' (Varun Dhawan), a happy-go-lucky young man, who is madly in love with his girlfriend, 'Ananya' (Sanya Malhotra). However, their relationship faces problems and 'Ananya' chooses security over 'Sunny's' love. At the same time, 'Vikram' (Rohit Saraf), who comes from a wealthy family is in a relationship with 'Tulsi Kumari' (Janhvi Kapoor), but it does not work out and now 'Vikram' and 'Ananya' are getting married. Seeing this, 'Sunny' and 'Tulsi' form a team to win back their exes. At multiple occasions, they are seen behaving like a couple only to make their exes jealous and win them back.

Towards the end of the film, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, 'Sunny' succeeds in making 'Ananya' jealous and she calls off her wedding with 'Vikram', who then proposes to his ex, 'Tulsi'. But the major twist is that 'Sunny' rejects 'Ananya' and 'Tulsi' declines 'Vikram's' proposal because the two have fallen for each other. The film ends with ‘Sunny’ and ‘Tulsi’ reuniting.

Apart from 'Sunny' and 'Tulsi', 'Vikram's' marriage grabbed attention as he got to married to a girl named 'Dimple', who is played by Prajakta Koli. Seeing that a lot of fans of the show, Mismatched were healed. After watching this film, a fan on X commented, "Mismatched broke my heart, but this parallel finally healed it."
