Sushant Singh Rajput, a name that will always be immortal in the hearts of his million fans was an actor par excellence. He bid adieu to the world on June 14, 2020, sending shockwaves to his friends, family, and fans. The versatile actor, known for his performances in Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and many more was reportedly under depression and committed suicide at his Mumbai residence.
Sushant made his acting debut with Ekta Kapoor’s serial, Pavitra Rishta and his character Manav Deshmukh became a household name. With no filmi background, Sushant made his name on his own. With effortless performances in movies like M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Raabta, Kedarnath, and Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!, Sushant made a permanent place in the hearts of his audience.

Ever since Sushant’s death, his family had been going through emotional turmoil. On November 16, 2022, Sushant’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti took to her IG stories and shared a Reel revealing how she got a message from her late brother, Sushant that he is always there for her. Talking about the divine moment, Shweta revealed that she was out with her friends for her birthday lunch, when suddenly Sushant’s songs started playing on the radio on a loop, even after her friends kept changing them. Calling it a gift, Shweta captioned the Reel as:
“Bhai’s Gift on my birthday @sushantsinghrajput #birthday.”

On January 13, 2021, Shweta Singh Kirti had taken to her Instagram handle and shared a poem written by her late brother. The handwritten poem was about life, dreams, and what's the purpose of one's life. An excerpt from his poem could be read as:
"I think I spent 30 years of my life, the first 30, trying to become something, I wanted to become good at things, I wanted to become good at tennis and school grades. And everything I viewed in that perspective, I am not okay the way I am, but if I got good at things. I realised, I had the game wrong."

To mark Raksha Bandhan 2021, Shweta posted an emotional video on her IG handle. The video comprised some beautiful unseen moments of Sushant and Kirti and it made all SSR fans emotional. Shweta captioned the video with a heartfelt note which could be read as:
“Happy Rakshabandhan Bhai... @sushantsinghrajput. I know your love and protection are always there with me.”
