Once upon a time in the telly world, Sushant Singh Rajput was head-over-heels in love with his Pavitra Rishta co-star, Ankita Lokhande. But when the nation was expecting to hear wedding bells ringing for the couple, Ankita and Sushant had announced that they had parted ways. Just like their dating news, the buzz of Sushant and Ankita’s break-up too, had spread like wildfire in the industry and the fans were heartbroken seeing Manav-Archana (on-screen names) drift apart in real-life.
Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande have been the talk of the town for many years and post his demise, his stylist, Leepakshi Yellawadi spilt some beans on how he had felt indebted to his ex-girlfriend. In an interview with ETimes, Leepakshi revealed how Sushant felt indebted to Ankita for supporting him during his struggling days. She said, “When we were talking he told me how indebted he was to his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande. According to him, she supported him very much when they were on television and during their struggling days. He became a big star. This is a real quality in somebody to look back and even if you are not with that person, appreciate them for what they have done for you. Even though their relationship went sour, he had only good things to say about her. I was really fond of him. When I heard the news I was in disbelief and shaking. He had so many more stories to tell me. We all get busy. He just suddenly decided that okay I am going to go.”
Leepakshi Yellawadi revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput didn't have many friends in the industry and throwing some light on the dark side of the industry, she has continued, “I cannot imagine a person like him coming to a point when he felt it is absolutely worthless. We all feel welcomed and warm in the industry but there is a dark side to it. Most of us don’t have real friends. There are very few people who will tell you and guide you. As far as I know, he had friends who were from a simple background and they were not the film people. He told me that most of his friends are from his school and college but thodi bahut friendship yahan bhi karni padti hai." Apparently, Sushant Singh Rajput was suffering from depression for the past 6 months and while the B-town celebs have expressed their condolences for him, his hairstylist, Sapna Bhavnani has slammed their show of sympathy. Bashing the hypocrisy of the Tinseltown, Sapna had tweeted, "It’s no secret Sushant was going through very tough times for the last few years. No one in the industry stood up for him nor did they lend a helping hand. To tweet today is the biggest display of how shallow the industry really is. No one here is your friend. RIP."
Bollywood actor, Nikhil Dwivedi too, backed Sapna Bhavnani and slammed the industry for not keeping in touch with Sushant Singh Rajput when they should have. Nikhil had tweeted, "I wished you had another way. Each time someone willingly chooses death like this.. It shakes us. We are all shaken. Wondering if there was no other option left at all. I wish you had other options Sushant. At times our movie industry's hypocrisy gets to me. High &mighty announcing they shud ve kept in touch with Sushant. Cmon u didn't! & that's coz his career dipped. So STFU! R u in touch with Imran Khan, Abhay Deol &others? No! But u were, when they were doing well#SushantSinghRajput."
